Any Improvements?

By saying posts dont matter you're saying spam doesnt matter either, with no rep system to reward good posts your relying on people staying cause they want to which may not be enough for some people. Hold a Referendum on the issue mo-fo's dont just do it without asking.

If you don't like it:
Sign out, turn off your PC and go out and socialize.

No one's forcing you to go in the site.

It's sad to see it get to the point where you're basically saying if we don't like it then leave

Also there is barely any spam of much note so Im not sure how we're going to cut down on a near non-existance problem

There is still a rep system. The reps are just gone from the user-information.

Don't act like that Mani, it really ain't needed. People know perfectly well that PC isn't everything, but they are entitled to have an opinion about it and what is going on

Bit of both I believe. Yeah there has been a lot of it recently, but it has improved over the last few weeks. But as Colin did say, quite a lot you don't see because the moderating team see it and delete it

Which pretty much makes them gone, as the only person who can see how many reps you have got (without using the stats section) is yourself, on the user cp page.

The activities of last 3 months has not made me change my posting style a bit.

There is hardly any spam. Go to a site like EA uk forums they post ALL the time.

That's because it gets deleted and you don't see it.

But it being the internet everyone sucks up to the source of power because opinions are banned on the internet.

This latest set of changes was based on feedback from the users of the forum. So how are opinions banned? We took your opinions and discussed them in the staff forum, where we put our input in and came out with what we think is the best way to take PC forward. That is a method that is used by many profitable businesses as well as non-profit businesses like PC.

I will agree that the forum looks slightly odd at the moment but I have seen this kind of thing implemented on other forums and it soon gets forgotten that it looks different.

The rep system still exists, it just doesn't have the power values that it used to. Plus, this is a part of the forum that hasn't finished in regards to the current 'round' of forum changes. We are working on the whole "rewards" idea at the moment.

What the point in half implementing an idea? I'd also like to see where members were saying lets get rid of showing post count and showing reps. At the end of the day if there still there in the profile what use is it removing them from the side panel?

I don't agree with people who say 'it is only the internet' and think people who are on forums have no friends. It simply isn't true.

The postbit is what people see. We're just saying that your post count and rep are as important to us as your xbox-live id. In the profile but not displayed on every post.

I find that Post Count is alot more important than whatever someones Live account is, seeing peoples post account usually gives you a better idea of who's respectable on the forum, its quite a good indicator.
