I'll see what I can do but unfortunately we can't make the CPU play sensibly when they lose wickets. If the next batsman has the type aggressive then he will bat like wise.

Actually, thinking about it Ravi. I think the problem is not the CPU accelerating after 25 overs. The problem is that the CPU is not connecting balls as it should, which basically makes it appear as though the CPU is not batting fast enough.

I can tell you this that the balls outside the off stump you mentioned is now sorted. I will have a game or two tonight to see if everything's fine and then upload the patch. I am even thinking in the lines of releasing a ODI and a Test match patch seperately as there will be loop holes left if we try to stuff both settings into one.

Glad to hear that outside the offstump problem has been fixed, Ravi.

Two different patches might be a good idea.

I am currently playing the finals. I am batting first. I will wait for your patch for bowling, I guess.

...

hey i got a question... does this patch do anything about runouts or wides problem?

Its got nothing to do with run outs but I have personally not experienced any issues with regards to wides. You may want to use Sam's no run out exe when you are bowling and a no cursor exe when batting. This is probably the most sane way of sorting out run out bug.

...

Ravi where can i get ur latest patch and is there any way i can install it using config editor so i don't have to mess up my installed kits.

The new patch is basically a cfg file and it can be installed using the config editor. You will find the latest patch in this thread on page 6.

Ok, Ravi. I have completed my batting. I was able to score 285 all out in 49.3 overs. Now, SA has to bat.

Waiting to see what you have to offer :)

That is some good batting there mate, I see you are getting better at batting.

Sorry Murali, I have taken more than time I promised. There were still one or two nagging issues I wanted to sort out prior releasing this version. You may have to wait atleast another half a day I am afraid.

Generally, I get all out between the 40th and the 45th over leading to a poorer score. Today, I tried to ensure that I batted out the entire 50 overs and I almost succeeded. So, the score was much better.

I can wait for half a day more. Not a problem at all.

Here we go Murali, by no means I can certify this as completely without any kind of bugs but it is definitely an improvement over Ver.12 The batting might have been a touch tougher but am not really very sure. Going further it is simply impossible to club both ODIs and Test matches in one single patch given the loop in CPU approach to batting. From this point onwards it will be two patches (I know its getting more and more complicated) but believe me we can achieve better by having a seperate Test cricket match which can be exciting and challenging. As of now this patch is exclusive for ODIs and in particular for 45/50 overs ones. In the coming days I will make appropriate changes to the 10/20 overs as well.

The following are the changes from the previous versions :

1. There are some more exciting shots played by CPU as compared to Ver 12.

2. You can play almost all yorkers using front foot ondrive but for the ones bowled on the toes.

3. CPU batting has changed quite a bit to ensure it doesn't try to play leg glance to balls pitching outside off stump. Most of the times an off side shot will be played but to ensure we don't settle to a off stump line all the time with 8 fielders on the off side there are shots which will be hit from around off side to pretty much all parts of the park.

4. CPU batting is far more aggressive this time around and in case if you guys find it very hard to contain then changes can be made.

5. Bowling cursor made a touch small to counter the CPU aggression and also to ensure CPU wont really bowl too many four balls. Please let me know if the batting in fact has gone easier. My aim was to ensure we are able to bat pretty well but at the same time rake up realistic scores. Make sure you use this patch with no cursor exe otherwise you may find batting little too easy.

It is natural I may not have picked any bugs as I have only tested this patch on one single game. If anything please feel free to write here.

Murali, good luck with your bowling.

The modifications you have mentioned sounds great. Looks like I need all the good luck I can get. Will test it out tonight and will keep you posted.

I do not mind using two different patches since nowadays it is so easy to install the new configs.

Just in case any of you guys had downloaded it already please download it again as I have made a little change to the previous version.

Murali, if you have downloaded already I suggest you download it again from the above post.
