Well this will be an interesting series.

India has been playing very poor cricket after World Cup. Although this will be in sub-continent which might help them.

Pakistan just got whitewashed by England.

Can't expect too much from Bangladesh.

So I think Sri Lanka will enter as favorites to win the tournament.

India squad:
MS Dhoni (capt & wk), Virat Kohli (vice-capt), Sachin Tendulkar, Gautam Gambhir, Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina, Manoj Tiwary, Ravindra Jadeja, R Ashwin, Praveen Kumar, Vinay Kumar, Rahul Sharma, Yusuf Pathan, Irfan Pathan, Ashok Dinda

Sri Lanka squad:
Mahela Jayawardene (capt), Angelo Mathews (vice-capt), Tillakaratne Dilshan, Upul Tharanga, Kumar Sangakkara, Dinesh Chandimal, Lahiru Thirimanne, Thisara Perera, Farveez Maharoof, Sachithra Senanayake, Nuwan Kulasekara, Lasith Malinga, Seekkuge Prasanna, Suranga Lakmal

Pakistan squad:
Misbah-ul-Haq (capt), Mohammad Hafeez, Nasir Jamshed, Younis Khan, Umar Akmal, Hammad Azam, Asad Shafiq, Shahid Afridi, Azhar Ali, Sarfraz Ahmed (wk), Saeed Ajmal, Abdur Rehman, Umar Gul, Aizaz Cheema, Wahab Riaz.
Reserves: Ahmed Shehzad, Rahat Ali, Bilawal Bhatti, Afaq Rahim.

Bangladesh squad:
Imrul Kayes, Nazimuddin, Jahurul Islam, Mushfiqur Rahim, Shakib Al Hasan, Mahmudullah, Nasir Hossain, Mashrafe Mortaza, Abdur Razzak, Elias Sunny, Nazmul Hossain, Shafiul Islam, Shahadat Hossain, Anamul Haque
Reserves: Tamim Iqbal, Shuvagata Hom, Farhad Reza, Enamul Haque, Abul Hasan

March 18th, India v Pakistan:D!

Bring it on:thumbs!

----------

PS: A 7 match Asia cup?
It would have been more interesting if it was a double round robin.

It would very interesting to watch the clashes, specially Pakistan against India on the 18th. I will mark Pakistan as favorites probably with a New Aggressive Captain and some fresh talent coming up soon

This is a high profile tournament, I don't think Sachin Sehwag or Dhoni will be rested just for the reason that they have been part of complete Aussies tournament!

I think Sachin will skip Asia cup .

Dhoni and Sehwag need to be disciplined a bit. "Resting" both of them would send a good message . It was theatre of absurd with Dhoni,Sehwag and Gambir(to some extent) indulging in petty quarrels .

And who is the new aggressive captain?

----------

I think selectors are resting both Sehwag and Sachin. There is a lot of talk about Ashok Dinda because Varun Aaron is still not fit.

Misbah will captain Pak on the Asia Cup. Afridi's captaincy has been called off.

--------
Resting Dhoni on this form is a total blunder. Sachin might be rested. But Viru and MSD shouldn't be rested or dropped.
-------

I hope Bhaji makes a comback in this series.

Dhoni will play in Asia cup.

Why in the blue hell you want Bhajji back? Ya Ashwin has failed but then give some chances to Rahul Sharma. He looks a very good bowler to me. Ashwin is still a senior bowler but seeing how he bowled in Australia, we don't have to recall anyone, we just have to give Rahul Sharma a chance to prove how good is he.

Am neither a big fan of Ashwin nor Bhaji. I would have loved to give Rahul Sharma some matches on this tri-series. But I would to bhaji back rather than making him rusty as they did with Irfan.

Ashwin was on his first overseas tour and played an entire tour, so he goes back with a lot of humbling experience. I would cut him some slack, and back him (along with having him work harder on his game). He and Rahul Sharma are our future in the spin department. Jadeja only fits in when we play in India, but I would instead invest on Irfan's batting and have a new specialist spinner in the side with Ashwin and Rahul Sharma (probably Ojha or bring back Harbhajan).

I would drop Sehwag ASAP! I am very worried that another run of big scores on lifeless subcontinental pitches will inflate his batting averages and he might again go through the same vicious circle of non-performance overseas. Unless Sehwag's technique shows a major change, I dont see him fitting into our plans. I would give Rahane or Pujara a chance in ODI's. These guys are also fast movers on the field. Dhoni needs to stay on, but I am feeling that his captaincy is showing heavy signs of cracks. Continue with him for a few series, but start grooming Kohli soon enough.

Give Kohli captaincy.

So he can do this to the umpires?? He is too arrogant like Ponting in his initial years. Needs to mature a bit.
