Australia: An Alternative Universe
There will be three competitions - one each for FC, ODI and T20 competitions. Each will be named after legends of the Australian domestic game that never made it at the highest level. The Jamie Siddons Trophy will be contested between mid-January and the end of April in first class competition. The Jamie Cox Plate (see what I did there, horse racing fans?) will be contested between May and August in 50-over competition. And the Ian Harvey Bowl will be contested between September and mid-December through Twenty20s. Note that, due to university exams, there may be some break weeks - if so, a double round will be held the next week as in Australia, uni exams are immediately followed by holidays. FC and OD will be run using Syedur Rahman’s simulator (thus forth known as Syedur Rahman), while T20 will be run using PCCS.
Now, as for squad selection: there will be an initial draft. Teams will get to select 25 local players - including 5 players on rookie contracts who haven’t played more than 10 games at any of the three formats - in addition to three internationals for the Harvey Bowl aka BBL. 8 local players and 1 international can be retained yearly, and there will be another draft every year (so more than eight retentions are possible, but only eight cannot be exposed).
It should be noted (very important) that Syedur Rahman can only support 18 players, so a squad list out of those 25 will be required for each format (of course, changes to the list throughout the season are allowed, but I will need to be informed so that I can change the list in game). Similarly, you can designate players to be non-T20 (say, like Jack Leach is in England), although it’s optional.
