The Australian team is currently touring Sri Lanka for a full long tour which is quite commendable on part of Sri Lanka to organise such an event in a turmoil like this!

I think Sri Lanka had a great start yesterday and looked quite positive in their approach unlike the recently concluded WT20 where even Bangladesh gave them a tough fight. But being 100/1 in 11.5 overs to 128 all out in 19.4 overs is just ridiculous! Maybe Australia bowled well but SL batters were equally poor.

Also I don't know why there is a sudden need to appreciate Hazlewood that he has transformed himself into a white-ball bowler? I think he always had in him to be a great limited overs prospect as his domestic numbers prove it as well. It's just he is finally get his opportunity which was long due.

This series is going to be a big dud but excited for the two tests. Australia should win the test series as well but you never know what Sri Lanka might have in surprise.

Wouldn't call it a walkover as yet considering Sri Lanka beat Australia 3-0 the last time back in 2016. The likes of Embuldeniya & Jayawickrama can possess threats to the Aussie batting line-up. But Australia does stand a chance after their recent success in Pakistan.

Just had a watch to the Highlights of the 3rd T20I and man what a match it proved to be! That is exactly what Sri Lanka needs. Someo who could just take the responsibility of taking them over the line and Shanaka did just that!

I think the Australian opening pair is probably one of the most dangerous pair in World Cricket as far as T20s are concerned but their middle order is just very thin in absence of Mitchell Marsh. They really need show some kind of consistency in terms of their run scoring.

From the scores it looks like a decent effort from Sri Lanka until the fall of Asalanka's wicket. I think they can still take the score to somewhere around 280. But I think that would be like 20 short on a ground like Pallekele which is slightly better for scoring as compared to the R Premadasa stadium.

So Sri Lanka just chased down their highest ever score in ODIs against Australia.

It's pretty commendable that how Sri Lanka have made life incredibly tough for Australia in all these games. Pretty sure the Test Series is going to be a lot closer than expected.

Impressive chase by SL. Hopefully things are looking up for them now, they've got some talented players now and look much more settled from what they were a year or two ago. Could be the team that will play spoil sport to the top teams in next years OD WC in India with this form in similar conditions.

The Sri Lankans have always had the modern ODI template as a viable tactic up their sleeve. Between their numerous captaincy and playing XI changes though, they've quite not managed to secure the consistency required for that approach though and have frequently reverted to the old-fashioned ways. But oh when it works... it works so well.

They've always backed wrist-spinners and mystery spinners, have always been on the outlook for raw pace despite having a domestic system for pace that makes spinners' life in England seem like a paradise. They've also always backed their inconsistent hitters who can fire on one glorious day and have favoured batsmen who can bowl a bit/batting all-rounders (ehh for the most part) alongside having middle-order hitters. The key that they've failed to realise is that Rome wasn't built in a day. Mickey Arthur was onto something when he backed talents like Theekshana, Asalanka, Nissanka etc for a spot in the team. Silverwood needs to continue that and maintain consistency. When the players are comfortable in their roles and have security over it, they'll undoubtedly play fearless cricket.

Another close game that Sri Lanka have won. A great achievement for Sri Lanka this is as beating an almost full strength Australian team is no joke!

The seeds planted by Mickey Arthur are flowering. He deserves some credit for Babar's growth too. At least SL hired another coach with international experience after sacking him, unlike Pakistan.
