Vaughan and Jones completed 50 run partnership between them as England now launches a full attack against all Australia bowler. This partnership was ended when Jones got out after making 24 runs.

Ponting then brought Lee back to the attack and Lee continued his dream spell today as he strucked once again for Australia. This time he got Giles caught to Martyn at mid-wicket for only 3 runs.

After 45 overs, England is 249/7 with Captain Vaughan still on crease at 78. Now England's only hope is Vaughan so that they can reach 280. Vaughan will be eyeing his century.

England tail failed to help to help their captain get his century as Vaughan went 91 not out and England scored 270 all out. Gillespie finished the inning by taking two wickets in one over. Vaughan who played a great inning unfortunately missed a well deserved century.

For Australia Lee got three wickets while Gillespie and Rracken each got two wickets. Mcgrth was a complete disappointment today.

So the target for Australia is 271 off 50 overs under lights which in no means an easy target against bowlers like Hermison, Flintoff and Anderson.

The next session will start in 40 minutes so dont go anywhere as more action is still to come.

Welcome back everyone. I am Steve Richards and right now I am with The hero of English inning, Michael Vaughan.

SR: Welcome Vaughan
MV: Thank You

SR: Congratulations on a great inning. It was really a lovely inning to watch. But unfortunately you missed your century
MV: Thanks. Getting a milestone always feel good but I am not too disappointed on missing it. I more relieved thinking that I helped my team reach a good score and that is what matter more to me.

SR: How was the pitch while you were batting:
MV: This pitch was very good for batting and ball was coming nicely on the bat and one can score alot of runs once eyes are set. But I think spinners can be crucial on this pitch as there seems some turn. So I wont mind bowling some overs myself with Giles.

SR: 271 runs, do you think are enough against Australia batting lineup?
MV I think we were short of 20-30 runs of our goal. Australian bowlers bowled well particularly lee and we continuously lost wickets at regular intervals. But I think we stand a very good chance as we have some world class bowlers and it wont be easy batting under the lights.

SR: One last question, How do you rate your this inning?
MV: This is definitely a special inning and it will be one of my best if it helps my team win the tournament.

Hello and Welcome back everyone. Players are coming to the ground for this second half of Planetcricket Super Cup Final. Australia needs 271 runs to win the cup at a run rate of 5.42 rpo. For Australia the openers are Gillchrist and Jacques and for England Gough will bowl the first over. Australia has a huge depth in their batting lineup but it wont be easy for both teams. They need some special performances to win here.

Gillchrist started in his regular style with a boundary off Gough in cover region. But his inning lasted only for that shot as he edged Hermison to safe hands of Jones while trying a similar shot. Hermison strucked for England and Australia lost their first wicket on 10. That brought Australian captain Ricky Ponting to the crease and he has a lot of work in his hands.

After the end of 5 overs Australia are 30/1 and they still need 241 runs to win.
