Beach Cricket 2017 - Releasing In 9 Days

Hello, so I wanted to start a league and I have always been fascinated by Beach Cricket. I wanted to download Beach Cricket by GingerGaming but their website is no longer working which is obvious considering they launched that in 2002 and its 2017 almost 2018 now.

I quickly (less then 24 hours currently) replicated their sim and have something working that I will first use it for my league that will come up shortly and then release it in public. Here are some screenshots

Now I have implemented the following things so far in less then 24 hours

1. Creation of team
2. Match selection
3. Toss system
4. Basic Simulation
5. Wicket system
6. Change of over(Each over is 8 deliveries instead of regular 6 deliveries)

To Do List

1. Wicket types to be displayed
2. Scorecard saving
3. Winning conditions yes this is remaining. The simulation is not currently checking who has won and lost.

I am expecting a release of this week.

So some updates

1. I have reworked the toss system as the previous one was buggy and not at all stable.
2. I have reworked the GUI for the match screen. I added more information and made it more clear what section is what.
3. GUI rework means now its more easier to know which team bats first and which team bats second.

Some more updates

1. Reworked and re-coded the simulation engine.
2. The batting and bowling points are now considered unlike the previous screenshot where it was completely random
3. 50% winning conditions implement
4. Wicket system implemented
5. 5 over simulation now complete.

Next up

1. Adding two more columns for 4's and 6's.
2. Working on wicket type as that field is blank for now.
3. Saving of the scorecard into text or excel sheet which can then be used for leagues.

I will add column types in next hour and will work on wicket type tomorrow. Saving scorecard is easy job so it wont take much time.

Some more and probably final updates for today

1. Added the wicket type.
2. Completed winning conditions.



I think the simulator is working fine as it is. Next up is saving the score card as I mentioned. Once I get the saving the score card working I will start working on collecting stats from the games.

1. Match result is now displayed. I forgot to add in 4's and 6's. Will do it tomorrow its not that difficult.

New day continuation of the work.

1. Have added 4's and 6's to the display
2. Currently working on actually calculating each 4's and 6's for the players.
3. Once done will start working on save scoreboard
