Blurry Text on PS3

Let me start by saiying that this isn't a problem with the game, but more likely some PS3 settings.

I've hot an HD TV, connected to PS3 with correct HDMI cable, the graphics looks fine, the boot up text is razor sharp, but then once playing the game, the white text (batsmen scores etc) is blurry.

Anyone else had this problem and know how to overcome it?

I play on a 22 inch PC monitor mostly at 720p resolution (my monitors have a non-standard PS3 resolution of 1680 x 1050, does not accept 1080p so goes to the next best one). In general, it sucks compared to the proper 1080p that I get when I've played on the 52 inch 1080p TV screen, but the text appears to be perfectly fine, it's usually the far away things in the actual game that are fuzzy (crowd, scenery, fielders on the rope looking through pro-cam, etc).

I'd just make sure that your PS3 is definately outputting to 1080p through the HDMI, then maybe check the gamma settings in the game as well as other sharpness/contrast settings through the TV.
