A thread to discuss about the famous puzzle around named RUBIK's cube.
I can solve it at an average of about 1min 45sec, trying harder to improve and get to 30sec.

Hey guys, can you solve it?

lol what a coincidence, I actually just bought a rubik's cube today and started solving it. Thanks to a really good video guide on youtube I can do a 3x3x3. Still trying to memorize the part where I complete the 2nd layer as the algorithm for it is quite long. My aim is to be able to do it in a respectable time this time next week.

Yes it's pretty difficult to solve the cube through a layer by layer method. I think you are using Jessicca Frederich Beginner's method?

I acually found my rubix cube last thursday and got my second best time of 1min 2 seconds. My best is something like 59 seconds.

I don't know. I followed a youtube video by pogobat (dan brown).

His layer by layer method is a tougher one and takes a longer time to solve the cube. For speed cubing it can't help.

I think you should start with the layer by layer method(pogobat), then once you can solve the cube comfortably. Then after that you should try other methods, but thats just my opinion.

Can solve in in 1 min 40 seconds.
Took me 2 and a half - 3 months to solve (basically my whole summer holiday one year).
I solve it top layer - middle layer - bottom layer.
