So, a strong lineup on show for Craig Tough's first game in charge. Kieren Westwood gets the go-ahead to start in goal for the Sky Blues, whilst Liverpudlians Stephen Wright, Daniel Fox and Scott Dann team up with Londoner Elliott Ward to make up the back four. Young-gun Aron Einar Gunnarsson starts on the right, with Frenchman Guillaume Beuzelin and Irishman Jay Tabb in the centre and Julian gray out on the left wing in favour of Leon McKenzie. Tough had a selection of strike partnerships to choose from, and he went for arguably the strongest on offer with goal machines Freddy Eastwood and Clinton Morrison teaming up as Coventry's strikeforce.

FULL TIME: Nuneaton Borough 3-5 Coventry

In today's friendly in the West Midlands, local side Coventry beat Nuneaton Borough by 5 goals to 3.

Borough made more than a good account of themselves and scored 3 goals, taking the lead once. Jordan Stepien, Richard Mackie and Will Ashton, brother of West Ham United striker Dean Ashton, with the goals for Nuneaton.

But in the end, Coventry's strong side was a bit too strong for Borough, with Clinton Morrison baggin a brace with two cool finishes, Guillaume Beuzelin got himself on the scoresheet with a sweetly struck shot from all of 30 yards, Freddy Eastwood smashed home a goal after some neat footwork and new captain Scott Dann scored on his debut as captain with a superb header to complete the rout.

After the game, Coventry manager Craig Tough admitted he was slightly disappointed at letting the 3 goals in, but said he has a very new and young side, and it will take a while for them to gel. He went on to add that he was pleased with the attacking efforts of the players.

The City gaffer used 9 substitutes out of 10, the only player not to play some part was Michael Mifsud, increasing speculation over the future of the Maltese international.

Ireland international and former Crystal Palace striker Clinton Morrison got the MotM award, and cemented the partnership between him and Freddy Eastwood up front, and fans have said they are excited to see what the 'Clint-Eastwood' partnership will be like in the Championship season.

TOUGH SITES STELIOS​

Coventry City manager Craig Tough may make his first move in the Summer transfer window by approaching former Bolton free agent Stelios Giannakopoulos.

The Greek international was released by Bolton at the end of last year, and is in the search for a new club.

With the news that Michael Mifsud may well be on his way out of the Ricoh Arena, fans have been slightly worried about the lack of targets on the table for Coventry, but now they are chasing a Euro 2004 winner.

Hull City, West Bromwich Albion, Sunderland and Wigan are all reportedly interested in the winger, however Craig Tough believes he is the favourite to get the Greek's signature.

When approached by news reporters, Stelios declined to comment, however he did admit that he was going to move to the Championship.

Tough said to 'icCoventry.co.uk' that he expects the deal to be done around the next few days, however Sunderland boss Roy Keane has claimed that Stelios is on his way to the Stadium of Light.

Fowler has gone to Plymouth on my game, and I don;t need keepers. I'm really on the lookout for a left winger, so I thought of Stelios. He is really right sided, but can play on the left, and hes going for nothing. If I get him, I can't see there being much more money spent. Probs see how the first half goes, and I'll save my money for January.

ok ok, for me they have all done well and Frazier was top scorer in the league.

Tudor would be awesome for a few seasons and is a solid corner scorer and defender.

Ched Evans is also good for me.
