Aaah yes sorry for the confusion, it's been like 4 years since I last even gave this a thought and upon looking through a dozen old pages saw @Na Maloom Afraad managing South Africa/Nazi Germany rather than Australia and @CerealKiller declaring interest in Pakistan for the future. The swap from back then didn't really come to memory until just now.
You both can still retain control of Australia and Pakistan respectively if that's what you still want.

Apologies but they were already claimed way earlier whilst this league was in limbo. Still very many strong sides out there, and are you sure you'd rather pass on the surprisingly talented Fijians containing the great Bula or your old Irish side which now has a better than ever before Jimmy Boucher?

After their latest session, the IOC have come up with a convoluted yet quite interesting format for cricket at the 1948 Olympic Games in London. Eight teams namely Australia, Barbados, Great Britain, India, Ireland, Jamaica, New Zealand and South Africa have been seeded into four groups of four for the main tournament, and curiously shall play only 2 matches apiece against two other unseeded teams that are to be determined through the qualifying round knockout matches. They will not however play against the other seeded team in their group, giving each group only 4 matches as opposed to 6 in a usual round robin. Furthermore, going a completely different course from previous Olympic Games the quarter-finals would see the table toppers pitted against each other and likewise with second placed teams rather than the usual first placed from one group versus second placed from another group. This decision has been criticized in some quarters as it would likely prevent the possibility of a dream final such as Australia v Great Britain, with the possibility of some of these teams bowing out at this very stage itself. But nevertheless, it provides an equal opportunity for an unfancied second placed team to do the unthinkable and qualify for the semi-finals or final, earning a cherished medal in the process.
The points system has also been altered from previous Games to 2 points for a win, 1 for a tie/no result and 0 for a loss as opposed to the (-1) for a loss which existed between 1896 to 1936 in all tournaments with the group stage round robin format. If two teams are tied for second place in a group, a playoff will be arranged to determine which of the two goes through. If all four teams remained tied on points, it shall warrant two playoffs apiece between the two seeded and the two unseeded teams to determine which two teams go through. This decision to stage playoffs came as a result of the confusion and uproar surrounding Argentina's surprise promotion to the knockouts ahead of India during the 1932 Games in Los Angeles despite having been beaten by the latter in head-to-head and finishing with the same number of points. India were knocked out as a consequence whilst Argentina's two extra matches allowed Herbert Dorning to overtake the legendary Bart King on the all-time wicket takers list in the Olympics to finish with 42 wickets, which he otherwise might not have been able to do. There shall be no repeat of that oversight on this occasion.
Meanwhile, there are the also the two different qualifying rounds to contend with, featuring a total of 13 unseeded teams namely Argentina, Bermuda, Canada, Ceylon, Chile, Republic of China, Denmark, Egypt, Fiji, British Guiana, Netherlands, Pakistan, Trinidad & Tobago where the four winners get direct entry to the main draw. But rather uniquely, the losers get yet another opportunity to qualify in the second qualifying round which is being referred to as the 'Losers round'. This format guarantees even the worst performing team of the competition a minimum of 2 matches, and one which is able to take scenic route from both the qualifying and losers round all the way to the semi-finals a whopping 7 matches in the competition! This might come as some relief to talented players from some of the lower ranked nations such as Alma Hunt (Bermuda), Hugo van Manen, Arie Terwiel (both Netherlands), Evelyn Wellings (Egypt), Puss Achong (China) for eg who after 20 years of appearances in the Games have only managed to cobble together a handful of matches. The format might still need a bit of tinkering in the future before one gets it spot on finally, but nevertheless this is the first time the Olympics have been so inclusive for all it's participants since the first three Games to be played in 1896, 1900 and 1904.

Given that this team drew against a full-strength Windies team, 4 years before getting Test status, and just 1 year after independence, i feel we should challenge for a medal.
