I feel like there is an increasing popularity for cricket in nations we might not associate with cricket. We have more and more individuals getting interested in the game. The reason for this i think is the popularity of franchise based T20 leagues which are trying to make cricket popular across the globe.

We have recently held Global T20 League in Canada, there was a cricket league in norway as well (or announced).

ICC has announced that all T20 matches played between its members will have T20I status in order to improve its global presence.

So, What will be the future of cricket as far as popularity is concerned? Which Nations are promising? What nation do you think will get full membership next?

I feel like Scotland and Nepal have a bright future. Lets discuss.
