These are a few simple suggestions before you explore this forum:

1. Participating in leagues

If you are new and you are looking to get involved in some leagues, your best approach would be to look for leagues that are new and are looking for members. Often these leagues will not have many posts, and they will say something regarding looking for members to participate in the title.

What you should NOT do is go and post in leagues that are currently running saying "is there a team available for me here", unless the owner has said they are looking for another member.

2. Starting a league

Before starting a league it is recommended that you participate in some leagues first, there are several reasons for this:
1. It will enable you to understand what they are about.
2. It will enable you to gain some experience and some good ideas.
3. It will enable yourself to get known, which will attract people to your league when you start it.

When you start a league there are several things you need to consider:
1. Will my idea attract other members to participate in it?
2. How many teams should I have?
3. What format is it going to be?
4. How should I allocate players, auction/draft?
etc.
BEFORE you start your league, you should know the answer to all of those question above and more.

These are a few simple RULES before you start your league:

1. No separate threads for teams, auctions, signups, match results etc. No separate separate season threads too.
2. One thread per member, UNTIL you have successfully completed a season. You can start as many leagues as you want inside that one thread, but the more leagues you start unsuccessfully the harder it is going to be to get members to participate in your leagues.
3. Once you have finished a season you are free to create another league in a different thread, PROVIDED you are still going to continue with your first league. If you are not going to continue with your first league, it would be much better if you started your second league in the same thread.
4. Anyone creating multiple threads when they have displayed an inability to finish the leagues they start will firstly be warned, and then if they continue to do so they will not be able to start another league for a period of time.

Stickied threads:

This is where you can post feedback and suggestions for the cricket leagues forum in general, like how can we make it a better place?

* Cricket Leagues - Support and Advice
This is where you can ask for support and advice regarding starting a league/participating in leagues.

* Cricket Leagues - Announcements
This is where you can announce that you will be going away for a few days so that league owners can take the appropriate action. Also you can announce whether you need another manager for your league etc.

* Champions League
When it is running.

Most importantly, have fun.

Cheers, the Cricket Leagues team.
