Yep, I certianly do despite not being that much of a football fan.
SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY! :happy :hpraise

Brian Laws' Barmy Army! :hpraise

I support me local team wholeheartedly, go to every home game and will try to make the away games when my Dad is going. It's my life, soul and blood, I can't imagine my life without them, and this may sound clich?d, but no matter how **** they get, or how **** they are I will keep going. Nearly all people I know from the world of soccer are involved with City, I know all the players and I know all the people involved in running it.

I don't have a problem supporting a Premiershit team if their local, but I don't you get the same sense of community in supporting a Prem team that you do when you support a smaller local team.

PS. For those of you that have Setanta, please try to tune into the start of the Setanta Cup final tomorrow, it kicks off at 7:30 pm (GMT) and is on Setanta Ireland & 2. There will be a bit of a display put on and it'll show what the eircom league is all about

That is what I love about Non League football, we had a poor season last year (Only managed 25 points in 46 games in the Blue Square Premier) One week we lost 8-0 and then 4-0 the next week, but, the true fans were there no matter what. Through thick and thin, they are your team and I will always support mine.

About the Setanta, is it you that is on mate? Because I know my Uncle's team (Saint Pats) were knocked out in the setanta cup.

Yeah, it's us. Cork City v Glentoran. I'm not asking people to watch the whole game, just the first 10 mins, get a taste of what we're all about

There are more United fans in Manchester than City fans, thats what matters, of course people from other countries are going to support United, thats because unfortunately success breeds gloryhunters.

You can't just hate United if you don't know the second thing about them or football in general.

I also really don't like the term "went for";).
I certainly don't hate guys like you who actually live in Manchester and therefore have a legitimate reason to go for them, but there are a lot who don't, people who pick them because they're the best. I heard some ridiculous statistic like 2 or 4% of the world's population go for them.

aus5892 added 0 Minutes and 49 Seconds later...

They are my local team...
Wouldn't Southampton be the local team of Southampton?

My local town isn't even a town, so no. The closet teams for me were teams in Harare, but that was still over and hour and half away so I've been kinda unlucky in that regards.

But whilst I do watch the EPL I don't really support anyone overly.

I understand how people from overseas like united and follow us. But it should be as a second team. There are loads of people who if i actually bothered posting on a place like red cafe would give me crap and try and lecture me on united, then if i asked them how to get to OT they wouldn't have a clue and if you asked them about their local side they couldn't tell me a thing about shanghai fc or whoever the hell it is. It is these new gay wikipedia fans that piss me off more than anything.

Ah yes Joe, but I bet you didn't know that Manchester United Football Club is an English football club, based at the Old Trafford stadium in Trafford, Greater Manchester, and is one of the most popular football clubs in the world,[3] with over 330 million supporters worldwide[4][5] – almost 5% of the world's population. Did you also know that Manchester United was a founding member of the now defunct G-14 group of Europe's leading football clubs and its replacement, the European Club Association. I bet you didn't, therefore I am a better man u fan than you.

Ji Sung, Korea.

Yeah, that was before they expanded, it's no wonder this lot split up afterwards:

I have to rep you that! Well, at least until I spread it around like an STD.

Dont have our game today, it is tommorow because our FA trophy opponents Dulwich Hamlet share there ground with fisher and they played today.

While most of them are crap, there will be a considerable few, who do not stay in Manchester, and do not know the way to the stadium, but still back the club as much as anyone in Manchester who knows the way to the stadium does.
