How many of you can drive?

I can't. I'm 18 in June and still can't be arsed to learn. I might take a few lessons during the holidays. Get me loads bitches wid me car.

I drive a lovely little blue Ford KA and it's my little best mate. The handling's awesome on it.

LOL, it just becomes a drain on the finances (especially with how fecking expensive fuel is) Also, cause of other tards my insurance is just under a grand a year, then you put in stuff like MOT, tax and it becomes a right pain, not to mention if anything breaks. Worth getting your license, more and more jobs which involve students ask if you have a license. Do you have a clean license is a different question :spy

My Punto burns that :p I know what you mean though, mine's got cracking acceleration and is well nifty on the bends. Just once I get up into the 70's I have my foot to the floor and it begins to rattle a bit ;)

Had 4 2 hour lessons. Now having 2 a week because I only have 1 exam left. I am so scared that I'll fail. Theory July 3. Test about a month later I reckon.

So scared of failing, I'm gonna hyperventilate on the day. :p Just got to use my mirrors more and I'll be doing well :D, and get used to driving a diesel and petrol, bit weird changing all the time.

My mate's insurance on his Alfa is ?4k a year. Forget that lol.

LOL, I was so nervous when doing my exam, when doing my reverse around the bend, my leg was shaking so much on the clutch that the examiner took the piss out of me saying I was doing an Irish jig :p My examiner's car was also a diseal whilst my Punto is petrol. It's good experience to swap between the two.

He have diamond encrusted seat belts or something? :p

I didn't really get nervous tbh. I just kept thinking to myself, "I will pass eventually, just don't run over any old biddies and you'll be fine".

And I was.

LF, don't worry, you can't do much worse than me. 8 fails on my record so far  All but 1 thanks to 1 silly mistake or drop in concentration leading to a major.

When one of my mates failed I laughed so hard in his face i'm pretty sure he actually started to feel pain from it.

But yeah, it doesn't matter if you fail because unless you're a woman, you will pass eventually. Ninth time lucky Dan.

Does your examiner talk to you then? I thought it was in the zone kind of focusing stuff. Might put the radio on and get on my phone then. (Headset of course). :p Haven't done reverse around a bend yet, 3 point turn which I'm doing great at, reverse parking which I'm not doing so great at although it has improved from my abysmal efforts early on in front of some hot girls in tesco car park which was very embarassing.

LOL. Thanks. I've not had a Test since before x-mas, really don't want to take another one, because if I fail that then my next one will mean I'm into double figures. Bad times.

As for what car I will drive when I get my license. I've got a quality Citroen Saxo 1.1i Fort? faw shizzle. The most basic car you could imagine for a 2001 reg. No power steering, 1 airbag, no ABS, no electric windows, but a CD player that doesn't allow you to put a new CD in when you're moving. Proper French build quality tbh.

Depends. I knew mine from golf (like he was ever going to fail me :p) but apparently some are chatty and help you to relax and some are well uptight, it just depends who you get.

Reverse around the bend is piss easy. Takes maybe a couple of lessons to get it, but after that it is fine. Basically as long as you don't reverse when a car is behind you and you don't go too far away from the kerb it's fine. My bad one was parallel parking (I still suck at that) too much of moving the wheel one way and that. Reverse parking you just get with practice

Were they things which you were pissed off they even noticed or genuine mistakes. Someone I know failed for not going in a bus lane.
