I just found a CD of this game an installed it. Anyone still playing this game?

It's a really good game by Creative Assembly.

Well it has some flaws; for example all batsmen play with the same hand :p
I still prefered C97 after I bought c2k.

I have never noticed. Actually, I am having the CD from last 5 years and I have never installed it.

Seems to be funny:p

You need to get rid of old games. It's 2010 !!

Ya.. I am also having EA Cricket 2000. I still remember that I had brought that 10 years ago when Cricket game was my passion. I had played it a lot and became master in that but dont play now.

EA Sports Cricket 2000 on the PS1 & PC.

After playing the PlayStation 1 version of EA Sports Cricket 2000 (made by Krisalis Software), I found it to be the worst cricket game I'd ever played!

3. How does it compare to it's sequel, EA Cricket World Cup 1999?
The games are so literally the same that the box comes with a warning telling you that, Cricket 2000 is a minor bugfix and squad update to CWC '99. It even still lacks test matches.

4. Is EA: Cricket 2000 & Cricket World Cup 1999 both compatible with Windows 7?
I haven't tried CWC99 (I can try it though), but Cricket 2000 does work on Windows 7.

(I liked Cricket 2000 :spy)

I think you'll find that technically C99 is a prequel not a sequel...

What you have to understand is that however awful it feels by modern day standards it was still the best available at the time. I tried playing Cricket 97 recently and couldn't see how I'd ever liked it but it was the best there was then.
Until c2k2 and c2k4 came along cricket gaming was in a pretty poor state. Arguably it hasn't really moved on since that breakthrough either.

I originally meant to state prequel, just a typo...

I appreciate that, but I still have to stand by my opinion that EA Cricket 2000 (the PS1 version made by Krisalis Software) was the worst cricket game I'd ever played.

  1. Don Bradman Cricket 14 - PS3
I remember playing Cricket 2000. Bowling was what I liked about the game. I remember getting the AI out for below 10 on many occasions.
