Bernie Ecclestone buys out Everton

Welcome to Sky Sports News. We have breaking news coming from Liverpool. Bernie Ecclestone has brought out Everton, taking over the club as Chairman. Ecclestone replaces Bill Kenwright, who has been a loyal servant for the club for many many years. Ecclestone has signalled his intentions, by saying that he will make Everton into one of the top clubs in Europe. Ecclestone will surely give Everton the financial backing they deserve, with a large amount of money available to him, thanks to his success in F1. Ecclestone's first press conference , led to another major piece of breaking news. Everton manager David Moyes has been removed from his post, and replaced by relative rookie Dan Manley. Manley has the potential to be a fantastic coach, said Ecclestone. Manley, who has supported Everton since he was a child says its a dream come true.

Manley Highlights Transfer Targets

New Toffees boss Dan Manley, in his first Press Conference gave the press a list of his supposed Transfer Targets. Not sure how many he will get, but he is confident of gaining the services of a few of them. These are the players who Manley highlighted as his main targets:
JT.png
John Terry is seen as Manley's main target. The chelsea captain is becoming frustrated at Stamford Bridge, with Abramovich's control of team selection, and Mourinho's lack of control with certain players. John Terry also had a training ground bust-up with Striker Didier Drogba, which increased Terry's unease at Chelsea. If Terry was to leave Chelsea, he would probably cost Everton around ?25million.

Elano.png
Elano is a hotly tipped young Brazilian. Tipped to be the next Kaka, he has been getting alot of attention from various clubs in Western Europe. Elano currently plays for Shakhtar Donetsk but is keen to get away from the lacklustre football of the Ukranian League. Elano is likely to cost Manley approximately ?10million.

Klasnic.png
Ivan Klasnic is a strong, battling striker, currently playing for Werder Breman. Klasnic is a strong player, but is also a very competent goal scorer. Werder Breman lost Ailton and Klose recently so will want to keep hold of the highly talented striker. Klasnic could be keen to move to a team on the up though, and could want a new challenge, which the Premier League would surely offer. It is reported that Klasnic would cost the Toffees around ?12million.

Elano completes Everton Move

Young, Attacking midfield maestro Elano has completed his move to Goodison Park after completing his medical yesterday. Elano joins everton for £9.8 million from Shakhtar Donetsk. Elano, 25, spoke of his delight at joining Manley at Everton today. Bernie Eccleston attended the press conference, where Elano had this to say: "I am extremely proud to have joined such an illustrious club. Everton have a cracking future, financial backing, and a great owner and i am very happy to be here". This is the first transfer of the Manley era, but another is due to be completed in the next 2 days. Manley had this to say "We have secured Elano and its now time to sign some more players. I have another player lined up for the next couple of days, and i have tabled bids for a few other players. One of which will really excite the fans". The future is looking very bright for Everton, who only 3 seasons ago were in financial trouble.

Nice signing of Elano. He is a great talent and should fit in well with Andy Johnson. If Bernie is interested, I'd like to work with you since I have a lot of knowledge of Football Manager. PM me your answer.

Toffees secure 2 massive signings

More Transfers news, 2 new signings for the Toffees. The big news is that former Chelsea Captain John Terry has signed for Everton. New owner Bernie Ecclestone signalled his intention to get Everton to the top, but no-one thought they'd sign anyone as big as Terry. John Terry who had become frustrated with the off the field situation at Chelsea thought it would be best to move on.It's reported that Ecclestone had to shell out over ?25million to secure the services of the former Chelsea man. In other news, Manley also secured the signing of left winger Andres Guardado from Atlas for ?4million. The versatile winger is capable of playing left back also and is another hotly tipped youngster in world football. A big day for Everton.

Everton make 3 more summer signings

Everton manager Dan Manley has secured the signature of 3 more players. Manley, keen to improve his squad over the summer has been spending big and has continued to spend big on 3 extra players. The 3 players Manley has signed are Rafinha, Ivan Klasnic and Ryan Babel. Rafinha is a 20 year old Brazilian right back from Gelsenkirchen and is supposedly the next Cafu. He is seen as the perfect addition to a defence that doesnt quite match up to the highly impressive attack. Ivan Klasnic is a 26 year old goal scoring Croatian. Klasnic has been banging in the goals in the Bundesliga for Werder Bremen and is seen as a perfectly suited striker for the English Premier League. Ryan Babel is another youngster, signed from Ajax for ?8million he is another highly fancied youngster from Holland. Babel is Manley's 7th signing of the summer, and joins names such as Elano, John Terry and Ivan Klasnic on Everton's transfer list. It is thought that Manley will put a stop to transfers until the January Transfer Window, with the first game of the season coming on the 19th of August.

Yep, not for the signings, i actually bought them. I just added the money, Ecclestone as Chairman and a slightly better reputation.

Everton and Charlton. First game of their Premiership seasons. Both will be eager to get off to a good start. Everton have been the big spenders, Charlton are hoping to be successful with a similar team to their last campaign. Everton are 4/5 favourites with the bookies, with Charlton an outside bet at 3-1. Both managers have announced their teams, and here they are:

Match-1-teams.gif

Everton go with a new formation, with 3 at the back, 3 central midfielders, 3 attacking midfielders and a lone striker. Charlton go with a 4-4-1-2 formation, with a lone striker and Ambrose behind him in the attacking midfield role. Everton's new signings, Terry, Elano, Guardado, Rafinha, and Klasnic all play, but they are without loan signing Manuel Fernandes, who is forced to take a place on the bench. Charlton include new boy Vicente Sanchez, a £1.6million signing from Toluca. There are places on the bench for Nelson Quevas and Soulemanye Diawara. Both sides look very strong, and it looks set to be a very close game here at Goodison Park.

End of game review

A dissapointing result for Everton, in a game they really should have won. The new signings coped well, but lacked the finishing touch to seal the game. Babel missed a few key chances which could have wrapped the game up for Everton, they will be happy with the performance though. Mikel Arteta gets Star Man. Next game is an away trip to Wigan.
