Three wickets fell in fairly quick succession but a 297 partnership between Hussain and Stewart ensured that the hosts brought the game game back to life. England declared at tea on 809-4 and will take a 92 run lead going into the second innings. Hussain said, "Overall we are very pleased, the game looks like a draw at this stage but if both sides come out in a positive manner then who knows".</span>
