A couple of surprising results on the opening day of this season with Arsenal losing to West Ham and Chelsea drawing 2-2 with Swansea at home.

Manchester Utd desperately need a striker now... Only 1 goal (excluding that own goal) from 3 matches... Doesn't sound enough promising to win EPL.
And, Chelsea might bounce back strongly after signing Pedro, Baba also if they capture Stones, they'll have the perfect balance...
Looking forward to the match against West Brom today! :D

I really wish LVG would try playing Herrera more because he moves the ball so quick and creates a lot of chances, something a natural winger won't be able to do in the no. 10 position. United scored a lot of goals during that run last season when there was a lot more pace in the attacks, and they also created many chances in the Newcastle game when they played a little quicker. Even if Rooney played in the no. 10 with Chicharito up front, there probably would be a lot more goals because Rooney has always excelled with more teammates in the box, most often a striking partner.

Having said that, we'll probably still see more of Januzaj in that position because it's a tweaking process.

You would think Tony Pulis would have a few quid for a suit now he insists on wearing those scabby tracksuits and caps he really learnt allot while at Stoke.

A shock result against Chelsea and even better by Swansea.:clap

He's great but is he ready enough for United? [hindsight]Falcao[/hindsight]

Martial has always been a name around. I was puzzled to see the slack he's got from 'fans'. Seems like every other guy is a self proclaimed scout these days. If you don't know a player then he's apparently ****. Hate that.

Well tbf even Rooney didn't know who he was according to Schneiderlin, he's definitely not even as ready as Sterling (I say that because he wasn't ready before his move to us either) and he's already coming in with an astronomical transfer fee on his head so the media will have a field day with him I feel, LVG is mostly very good to teenagers tho so he will always have a backer in him and that's all that matters.

Transfert - Transfert : Anthony Martial (Monaco) à MU (Officiel)

The fee the French media are reporting including all the bonuses is incredible to say the least.

Indeed, Arteta and Flamini are not good enough and a striker was less of a necessity, but more of a statement signing that didn't come.

Carlos Bacca went to Milan after scoring 28 goals for Sevilla last season and definitely a better striker than Giroud, that would have honestly been enough, but no Wenger wants us to believe no one better than Giroud was available.

This season would've been a decent time to give sonogo or campbell (inj?) a run in. Yet Sonogo is loaned out to Ajax.

Campbell is not good enough to play in a top club and Sanogo was a very special buy. Right now we got 3 strikers

    Giroud
    Walcott
    Welbeck

Giroud is on and off and his finishing isnt amazing. Walcott is too one dimensional and Wenger seems to not like Welbeck. To this day I reckon Lukas Podolski would of been a great striker and Vermaelen would of been a good cb, but Wenger knows best... I would of loved Benzema and any of the 4000 good defensive mids would of been great but Wenger is way too stubborn...
