XBOX 360 - Fantasy League

Due to there being no leagues for XBOX360 at the moment, I've decided to have a crack at starting one up.

I have updated the rules for the competition

Competition Rules

  • There will be two competitions (for the first season); A T20 League (all teams will play each other once and the top half of the table will qualify for finals. Instead of NRR used as a tiebreaker, tiebreaker matches will be held to decide who finishes above for teams who are drawn on points), and a OD Cup (double elimination knockout tournament)
  • The home team will choose the pitch settings
  • I will create every club in the cricket academy to make sure that players don't just up the ratings etc. If you are found to have edited the ratings in any way then you will be removed from the league. You will need to tell me your home ground along with three colours for your team. If you want to change something about your team then you will need to message me
  • There will be a set of fixtures every week (The deadline for a week will be Friday at 9:30AM GMT). At the moment Im not sure how many matches will be played each week so some feedback here would be nice. At the moment I will probably look at playing two T20 matches a week, one OD match a week, and a four-day match every week and a half. If I do decide to do four-day matches on every week and a half then there will be a separate deadline It is the players' responsibility to organise the match.
  • The first week of matches will be between the 11th and 18th of March. Once a match has been completed, at least one team will have to send me a photo of all three match summary screens for the result to be confirmed.
  • If a team doesn't play their scheduled match it will be considered a forfeit and the side will suffer a 150-run loss. For this to occur then the team's opponent must contact me saying that they tried to play their opponent.
  • If neither team is available for a match it will be simulated. If both teams agree then a match can be simulated for other reasons as well.
  • A match can be delayed if both teams involved agree for the match to be delayed
  • Money will be awarded as follows; 11m for starting a season, 5m for winning the league (post-finals), 2.5m for coming runner up in the league (post-finals), 1m for the making the league finals, 2.5m for winning a cup, 1.5m for coming runner-up in a cup

Auction, Transfer, and Squad Rules

  • There will be an auction at the start of every season
  • I will auction off players one at a time
  • Players will be auctioned as if it was a real auction and I will give a warning of once and twice before saying sold to end the auction
  • I will update the excel sheet at the end of every auction
  • All teams will need to have between 14 and 18 players on their roster
  • Players will be auctioned in the same order as the spreadsheet (base price -> position -> name)
  • Every player has a base price which is the minimum bid that can be made on them
  • The minimum increase price for a bid is $25,000
  • Throughout the season teams will be able to; Transfer money and players between teams, start an auction on an unsigned player or a player in their squad, Quick Sell players for their base price
  • Each team will be able to have between
  • After the auction, players that missed some or all of the auction will be able to nominate players for the silent auction that will take place from Monday 11PM (GMT) to Wednesday 11PM (GMT). This gives players that missed or couldnt make it to the auction a fair chance. The silent auction will be forum-based so all bids will take place on the forum. If a bid is made in the last five minutes of an auction the auction will be extended until there have been no bids made for five minutes.
  • At the start of the second (and consecutive) auctions all players currently signed with a club will be removed from that club. Before this all teams will be able to instantly re-sign up to five of the players that were on their squad last season. This means that they can pay the same price as they did in the previous season to re-sign them for the current season. In the second auction, there will be two types of player; restricted and unrestricted. Unrestricted players were not contracted to a team in the last season, or removed from a squad prior to the end of the season. Restricted players are players that were contracted to a team at the end of the season. No special rules will apply to unrestricted players, but restricted players can be re-signed by a team if the team that had the player last season matches the highest bid.
  • All players that were auctioned in the first season will be auctioned again in the second season so that we dont have post a new player list. However, if you wish you may add players to the auction

@theodom101 Have you planned on how get the auctions done? I liked the idea of base price based on the rankings. I would suggest you to ask all the mamagers to send you a list of 25 - 30 players they are interested to buy. We can then have an auction for only these players. These would make the auction process quicker and easier for all of us.

Ideally we should wait until we have atleast 8 participants. Incase that doesn't happen till we all get the game, we should go ahead with the auctions. Meanwhile lets keep this thread alive by posting suggestions/ideas/tips on how can we go about with the tournament.

Ya indeed we should atleast wait for 8 of them.....and i think we should start the league with some practice matches....because we all are very new to this mechanism and it takes time to excel the controls..!!
