Heard on the radio that he's gone to Real and not Bayern, but I suppose their concern is Makaay's age perhaps.

Yeah I also came to know that he has signed a 3-year contract with Real Madrid. It fine imo and Bayern need to look for a midfielder to replace Ballack.

VfB play Olympiakos today at L?ngerfeld. We won the last friendly against Heidenheim, 3-0. Goals from Beirofka, Cacau and Delpierre.

Most of our main players will join up with the squad before the Olympiakos game.

After an exciting penalty shootout against Schalke 04, Bayern Munich advance to the Cup Final which will be played against Werder Bremen on tomorrow. Daniel Van Buyten proved his class not only as a defender but he also created many goal scoring opportunites. Michael Rensing was in goal in place of Kahn and he also did a fantastic job.

Yes just what I wanted to hear! Hopefully they give Bremen a good thrashing to take the cup. It's quite obvious Rensing will be groomed for a period of time because Ollie is getting on. Rensing is a promising player and he is still young and has some way to go.

Bayern for the cup!!

Definitely Bayern. We will have some advantage as Bremen are without Tim Borowski.

Well a depleted Bayern side lost to Bremen 2-0 in the Cup final. We looked completely out of sorts against a very organised and compact Bremen side. Klasnic scored twice for Bremen and it was clearly evident that a certain Mr. Ballack was missing in our midfield. Felix Magath all possible options like Ottl, Santa Cruz and Dos Santos after starting with Makaay and Podolski but nothing worked out.

Hmm, I hoped that it wouldn't happen but it has, Ballack has left a gaping hole in the midfield.

Hopefully they can now pinpoint all the weak spots in the team and work on getting a youngster to full it much like Podolski, rather than an older player.

No doubt, one the midfield problem is solved Bayern will be back to their old ways.

Well i'm a little surprised how much (it seems) that Bayern depended on Ballack,i was expecting them to put away Bremen pretty easily.Pity...

Oh well... You win some, you lose some... Hopefully things will only get better as the season progresses.

First of all, Bremen are a good side. Its true that Bayern were fielding a weak lineup though. Its good to see there is something that Bayern cant win every year. Schalke won last year's tournament.

The Bundesliga kicks off from Friday!!

Fixtures for gameweek 1

Friday:
Bayern vs Dortmund

Saturday:
Hamburg vs Arminia
Schalke vs Frankfurt
Bayer Leverkusen vs Aachen
Stuttgart vs Nurnberg
M'gladbach vs FC Energie
Mainz vs Bochum

Sunday
Hannover vs Werder Bremen
Wolfsburg vs Hertha Berlin

Friday's game is absolute cracker. We have a tricky game against Nurnberg, especially after our dodgy pre-season form. Werder Bremen should beat Hannover after than 2-0 win over Bayern in the ligapokal. Bremen have also singed Per Mertesacker.

Yeah the first game against Dortmund will be full of pressure, just need to remain mentally calm and everything will run our way. Hopefully Deisler regains fitness in the coming games to strengthen our wing play more.
