GeForce 440mx (can't remember the mem size)
Radeon 9200SE 256MB
Radeon X800SE 256MB
Radeon X800XL 256MB
Radeon X1950XTX 512MB
Radeon 2900XT 512MB
Radeon HD4870 1024MB

I should be able to order the 4870 in a weeks time if my calculations are correct.

Cool, nice work. This is probably the best time to go out and grab a 4870 1024MB. :) Have you checked though, that the performance benefits will be justified? :)

Well, from what i have seen a 4850 is a big step up from dual 2900xt's in crossfire. So a 4870 with 1024 mb should rape. Plus, i will get to taste the forbidden fruit that is GTA 4 @ 1920x1200 with high textures.

What cards have you owned young Kshits?

Well I'm young though, old Matt :p I've only had the MX4000 and the current 9600GT till now. Will probably step up my graphics sub-system next year when I clear my 12'th grade and have finally made it into the IIT. :D

You have my sympathy with the MX series, dirty dirty cards.

Well:
First was with something like 256kb of memory in an ISA slot, it wasn't useful for anything. I think it was a Cirrus Logic card, as that name poped into my head while typing this.

Second was a PCI SiS 6326 with 8MB of graphics memory. My memories of it were that it came with Windows 3.1 graphics drivers, which meant I could run it at very high resolutions, my monitor only did 1024x768 though at 24bit colour. Looked both odd and fantastic at the same time.

Next card was a ATI Rage Pro, AGP 2x with 4MB of memory. Was a very odd shaped card, because the IBM machine it went in (to replace some horrible old onboard graphics) decided to use a very weird case design. Oddly the card was from a Compaq.

Then once I got a rather big PC upgrade I used the onboard VIA Unichrome graphics, which used about 64MB of the memory. They were good enough to do quite a bit of 3D stuff.

I then replaced it with a Nvidia FX5200 128MB, which was in turn replaced by a Nvidia 7600GT 256MB, both AGP 8X.

I used to have a MX4000 128mb, served me pretty well tbh, considering it's price, I still used it until 2007. Before I got the 8600GTS and now 8800GTS.

SIS 66xx(?) 8MB Onboard :p
Geforce MMX 64MB
ATI Radeon 9700 128MB
Geforce 8800GTS 320MB ;)

Next is WHAT ??

am pretty happy with the 8800 as of now...giving me good performances...!
i wont upgrade to anything massive until and unless there is a time when
nothing runs on my PC.
coz, seriously, its just a waste of money....especially when you wanna
upgrade just to play a game (R*,You with me baby ?) !!!

look at my own system....i did a major upgrade in July 2007.
bought the 8800, Core2duo, 4Gigs of ram etc.....
but now,by the looks of it...GTA IV wont even give me more than 20FPS...!!
and during the action sequences...hardly over 10.

GeForce FX5200 128MB
GeForce 7600GT 512MB
GeForce 9400GT 512MB [using it since 2 weeks]

Intel Integrated Chipset

Nvidia 7150 onboard
Nvidia GeForce 6200
