From an Australian perspective, I can imagine the 08 Sydney game must have been cricket ecstacy :p.

Was great at the time, but it didn't take long for that shine to wear off. That was an awful game of cricket, one I wish hadn't happened. Both team's behaviour was awful.

Only one team played in the spirit of the game :p

The ones I remember best from memory:

India vs. Australia (Kolkata 2001)
India vs. England (Natwest 2002 Final)
Australia vs. South Africa (1999 World Cup)
India vs. Australia (Mumbai 2004)

Other games, which weren't as exciting but good from an Indian perspective:

India vs. Pakistan (Multan 2004)
India vs. Australia (Adelaide 2003)
India vs. Sri Lanka (Galle 2008)

Haven't really been able to follow cricket in India because of timezones.

Still feel like the games I listed just have something extra special about them that will make them timeless (the first three, at the very least).

Operation Sandstorm seems to have been forgotten.

The two matches that won India the Coca-Cola Cup in Sharjah in 1998.

The tied test in Madras/Chennai in '86 was pretty good, what with Dean Jones nearly dropping dead and Border goading him to stay on the field, questioning his toughness + threating to replace him with a Queenslander!
