It's not a big excuse it's a fact, almost all of our players had played a full domestic/international English summer and it showed by our lack of energy (we are normally an energetic side). We weren't good enough (I never said otherwise). As for experience? It's a slog-a-thon really, most school cricket is 20 a side (in England it is), it may be only 20 overs, but it's still cricket, it's still the basics of the sport.
