i did everything said in the first post.. and its conclusive... this does s***
the first ball i bowled i tryed to get him to drive to mid on or off... he did so, the ball reached the feilder... and then they ran.. so there for, no one should trust anyone that speaks in caps all the time. i think this guy should be band from posting s***

ok fine... i went back into the game... with the same settings and installed the same as before, there for the same as the settings he has sujested. i bowled a good line a length for a bit... and what do you know... there were byes!!! what a suprise... now does this conclude that changing the graphics does not fix the problem? i think it does, and there for concludes that people that talk in caps all the time, cannot be trusted.
i think you people are going to have to accept that this is the way cricket 2004 is.... basicly unplayable untill ea get off their butts and do something about it. either that or someone come up with a patch them selves (lets hope, im sure it'd be better than any ea patch)

i reduced my settings to 1024 x768 16 bit color with video screens and shadows off in order to increase the performance of the game. everything else is maxed out. umm so far playing in one days, i have not gotten many byes unless i bowl a terrible ball. farthest i've gotten in a match is about the 15th or so over because ijust test my kits out and thats it at the moment. i haven't tried in tests. we'll see if this holds up though

you people suprise me... im really quite impressed at the amount of hope you have about this "fix" that doesnt work... the only thing i dont like is that you trust this guy that speaks in caps. in most forums his thread would ahve been deleted and he would have been banded. at least thats what i would do if i was mod.

B) i know in many forums people get angry when u talk in caps,
but this not any stupid forum ,here people forgive and forget ,
moreover he may not even know that he was typing with the caps lock on ,
it happened to me once ,in other forum ,but they told me and then i knew .
so chill out man ,plus i took fobstyle advice and my game is working wonders even better then before .i never saw this part of the game before.
my game is very fast now ,it is really fun when ur bowling with a fast bowler .
and for bugs i dint get one till now no byes ,no runouts ,i dint check the lineup bug though.
the players vanished ,but were back in 5 seconds ,so i am reallly happy now
thanks fobstyle.
i think u should tell this to every one or make it a recomended settings .

well this is the proof that if the game is set to the max settings...the direct x causes the game to react in a funny way (bugs)...they had this prob before and have it still...well if this is so then dont expect a gameplay patch...they just might release a patch that makes the game intel chipset compatible ( maybe )....those were my thoughts....

yo buddy darac, i don't mean any offence but i think you shud be banned! I was polite but u were the one talking with that kind uv language! If anyone shud be banned it shud be you. I posted this topic cause it worked for me. and there's nothing wrong in saying that! why would i even waste my time writing this? My game is working fine now WITHOUT BUGS. so i thought it might have also worked for u all. I only tried to help you. But if this is the response i'm gonna get, then damnn (sorry to be rude) this forum. I don't want to ruin my relationship with this forum but maybe i'm gonna stop posting from now on and join some other place.

PS: There is no rule which says u can be banned for posting solutions which don;t work for others.

u will find variety of people here ,some good and some bad,,
but ur trick dint work for me ,but i also tried what fobsytle told us and my game is working great now. only the players vanishing bug is still there.
p.s turn off ur caps lock.

B) ur r right ,i never thought that the fast bowler will run in so hard that i gave six no balls in the over untill i took controll.
the keeper is not giving byes ,and no runouts till now ,plus the cpu batting is also great, i was playing in hard mode , and batting is not easy as before .
maybe it is cuz this the first time i am playing in hard mode
I think the problems many of us have been experiencing is because we push our graphics cards too far. I am beginning to think that EA/HBS did test the game, but they didnt include pushing the graphics cards beyond its limit. My game play was very slow before i changed my settings and i was getting plenty of bugs. Once i changed them down some to improve the game's performance, only the run out bug and possibly some others have remained. Im glad the millions of byes have been absent from my game so far, but i wish there was something to do about the run outs.

thanks ricky123 for encouraging me and the advice B) yes hard mord is pretty hard in the beginning like u get out on a yorker if u don't play it well etc. but if you get the hang of it , you'll find it interesting and challenging which will lead into partnerships.
ps: so you guys agree that if i hadn't started this topic, some people (like ricky123) wouldn't have got the opportunity to get rid of most the bugs B)

sigh... its all in your mind. the bugs are there, your just trying to avoid them to keep your hopes up.. why dont you push your game to the limit and search for the bugs that were there before. im sure they'll show up.
as for the run outs... how many people have tryed manual feilding? i havnt. maybe ill give it a go, it might change when the comp takes a run... and then if they still do, you can chose if you want to get them out or not. i guess that would be a slight improvment.
