Rcb players, staff etc must have watched these last 2 games thinking what the hell did we do. Losing Gayle Watson and Rahul were the worst things they could have done

We have just got our team that will be on bottom of the IPL table for this season and that is Rajasthan Royals. Also Tripathi needs to be opening the batting as he was good at it last season.

Completed the rites! Massive 64-run victory for Chennai! It was a very ruthless performance today, despite the usual kinks with the fielding. The margin of victory will give CSK a major NRR boost.

Brilliant job from Dhoni to attack Rajasthan with Chahar at the very beginning when Chahar was in great rhythm. Chahar and Thakur sniffled out the Rajasthan chase and made it non-existent.

Watson was still a good performer at the time. Just Kohli didn't make use of Watsons full capacity in 2016-17. He is an opening batsman. Batting a player of his skill at number 5-6 is a waste. Even if Gayle missed out in the 2016-17 season. They could have opened with Watson and Kohli De villiers 3 and Rahul 4. Gayle was a bit of a hit or miss for a little while but it would still be hurting rcb to see him play like the original Chris Gayle and score those runs, No doubt.

Problem with kxip is that they aren't playing a 6th bowling option and need to bowl yuvraj. They need to get Stoinis in for Finch

I'm really happy to see the Ashwin and Dinesh Karthik leading their teams setting up the examples themselves. Ashwin has been fantastic with his captaincy, his fielding, bowling and batting. Same goes to Karthik as well. They have accepted the challenge and are leading their sides brilliantly.

Dinesh is using the local talents very well with good mixture of both experienced and inexperienced players. Worst captaincy so far in this tournament is of Kohli. Don't mistake me, I'm the big fan of Kohli the player. I only hate Kohli the captain. There are enough local talents in both batting and bowling department. The players like Parthiv Patel, Pavan Deshpande, Manan Vohra, Colin de Grandhomme, Navdeep Saini haven't got any chance while there are series of failures by current playing XI. Not that RCB doesn't have players, they do have one of the best squads. I would want him to pick the following squad:

Parthiv Patel
Virat Kohli
AB De Villiers
Mandeep Singh
Washington Sundar
Colin De Grandhomme/Moeen Ali
Chris Woakes/Moeen Ali/ Colin De Grandhomme
Corey Anderson/Tim Southee
Yuzi Chahal
Umesh Yadav

That is what I just call an explosive T20 lineup. Mixture of experience and inexperienced players, strong middle order and best finisher(s). Batting strength down to number nine and deadly bowling unit - Woakes/Ali, Yadav, Southee, Chahal, Grandhomme/Ali, Sundar.

Unfortunately we don't get to see this unless Kohli steps down from captaincy or Daniel Vettori is fired by the management. Very unlikely or close to impossible though.

And yes, absolutely. It will hurt RCB to see Gayle performing well. But at the time of retaining players, all of us were hoping they would drop Gayle and Watto for right reasons. Even members from here were hoping the same. Shows how much those players performed at that time.

In his prime he opened. To my knowledge he only batted at 5-6 in test matches in late 2015 when he was about to retire from test cricket, because even in his last couple games for us in the 2016 World t20 he opened the batting. I'm not too sure, I don't know how long it will take rcb to find the right bowling combination but their lineup on paper looks indestructible but unfortunately for the most it hasn't worked out for them
