Gautam Gambhir finally brings it out of the closet and says that Virat Kohli is lucky to be captaining RCB for so long even though he hasn't won a single IPL.

Though I was not a big GG fan, this one he hits it out of the stadium! Kohli in ODI's has been saved a lot by Dhoni. In tests, he lost series that should've been easily won considering the opposition. It really required Australia to sack their two stalwarts, for us to win a series there (even then, we were given a real tough fight). Kohli is a very overrated captain and I hope someday soon, he becomes just a batsman and he'd probably scale unimaginable batting peaks if he is left to do JUST THAT!

Ganguly and Ponting want Pant at No. 4 for India in the World Cup. It’s a mere coincidence that Pant has lays for Delhi Capitals that Ponting is coaching and Ganguly will be mentoring. :rolleyes

I would have certainly backed Pant as well. He allows Kohli to just bat at 3 without bearing the burden of increasing the NRR. However, that ship has sailed at least a year ago. There is absolutely no question now that he should not go.

The horrendous selection is to blame for us being clueless about two spots in the batting order. I recently saw that the position of coach will be vacant after the WC. Even if we lose, Shastri will retain and nothing will change.

Nothing will change at RCB either. Who else will captain? Umesh? De Villiers himself is a god awful captain. Chahal? He barely knows how to decide what to bowl for himself!

KOHLI has become so powerful in Indian cricket because of his batting that he cannot be touched. What has made him invincible is the bowling strength India possess ironically!

He also said it way back in an interview about 4-5 months ago. I won't say he is over rated as a Captain though, he was very good when he had started but his quality just went down since then. And now you see an average Captain.... Maybe not even that

Massive blow for CSK that Ngidi is ruled out. Yes, we have Chahar and now Mohit Sharma is added to the mix but Ngidi was that one overseas bowler who was super frugal and prised out wickets and was the reason why CSK won the title last year.

I think David Willey will play a bigger role now. But he is god awful at the death and that means CSK have to find a good overseas seamer who can bowl at the death and tag team with Mohit Sharma and Bravo (who is getting bad at the death overs these days). Hope Chahar has worked upon his death bowling skills.

Good news will be the return from injury of Mitchell Santner and Kedar Jadhav (hope Jadhav keeps his hamstring wrapped in cotton wool :rolleyes:p).

@SaiSrini did you watch the Lion's Roar documentary on Hotstar? I watched the first episode and thought it to be more like cleaning themselves. Players perspective and feelings was good but Srinivasn's perspective on what he thought was a little over the board. Interesting that Dhoni has produced this.

I have not seen it yet. I heard about it, though. Looks like its getting good reviews from fans and celebrities. I definitely know that Dhoni and the players did not do anything wrong. Very likely that NSR also did not involve himself. It was a mistake though by Meiyappan and a mistake by NSR to keep that guy near the team and have him as 'team official'. And we paid the price for it with the suspension.

The emotions of Jaddu, Raina, Hussey, Hayden and Dhoni is genuine but Srini mama not so sure. Atleast MSD is answering critics who have been behind him for his thoughts on spot fixing.

Loved how they have shown the fans perspective as well.

Watched couple more episodes, there is so much emotion and drama when it comes to CSK. From spot fixing to the matches being moved out due to kauvery water issue. Also seeing Dhoni cry.. wow! That is a first, have never seen ever the emotional side of Dhoni.

CSK vs RCB in 2 days for Game 1! I am super excited. CSK will be missing quite a few guys for the first game. Faf and Tahir, I hear, will not arrive on time for the first game. Wonder if Willey and Billings have arrived. I also hear rumors on Twitter that Watson might be injured. Ngidi is out of the tournament. Assuming the Watson news is true, we would be really thin on resources and tough to predict squad. My XI would then be:

Rayudu
Billings*
Raina
Dhoni
Jadhav
Bravo*
Santner*
Jadeja
Chahar
Harbhajan
Mohit

This means CSK bats till No. 9 (remember the cameo Chahar played last season?). Since its played in Chepauk, I would play 3 spinners and not have Jadhav bowl any overs (keep him primed for WC). Since Tahir/Faf not available and Watson might be injured, I would just play 3 overseas guys for the first game.

Man, you are really building up the hype for me on this! I need to catch it up soon.
