Not really. They must have paid about US$7 for the domain for a year and they must have just hosted the domain with a host that they were already using for themselves.

A simple whois lookup shows that the domain is actually hosted by a web-solutions company, so it is likely that it cost them close to $0 to get it hosted.

Not really. They can actually sell this domain to Microsoft for a lot more than what they would've paid for it.

I don't MS would be interested in it, though. They haven't even got IE6.com. Even firefox just recently acquired the domain firefox.com.
