is this the Fastest?

Yes I remember watching that live. It was the Speed Gun fault. Muhammad Sami could however get to around 157 KPH in his younger days.

noone has ever officially said it was a speed gun fault from what i know. i know the ICC doesnt accept as the fastest but they give very flimsy reasons for that. still no doubt akhtar was the fastest ever. his proved it time and time again

Akhtar was the fastest since they started measuring the speeds regularly.

Call me biased, but the legends of the West Indian pace attack of old, especially Malcolm Marshall and Michael Holding, they've got a little edge over Shoaib to me. Personal reasons, of course.

Holding and Marshal were definitely better bowlers than Akhtar. Marshall is perhaps the greatest of all time. As far as the speed thing is concerned I think Akhtar was fastest but Marshal may have been just as quick in his younger days.

Muhammad Sami was a fast paced bowler but with no direction and line n length. He is one of those who requires Imran Khan perhaps. but I remmeber He did play under Wasim and Waqar but no influence on his bowling.

Even if it was fastest ever,it could not change the fact that Muhammad Sami is one of the most worst bowlers ever.

Shoaib you are wrong. He is not one of the worst, he is most definitely the worst bowler to have played so much test cricket.

That automatically includes him amongst one of the worst ever.I called him one of the worst not worst ever & there is difference between meaning of the two terms.
Amongst test playing nations, can't think of any worst ever bowlers other than Ian Salisbury,Ajit Agarkar,Mouhammad sami. But thats from what I've seen personally.

Well i will call him worst ever fast bowler to have played test cricket seven days a weak. Agarkar averages better than him. That says a lot.

There was a bit of competition between Shoaib and Lee to prove who is the fastest bowler. Shoaib though proved he's the fastest but Lee was much better bowler than Shoaib.

I wouldn't say that. I would just say that Lee did a better job of keeping himself fit and out of trouble than Akhtar did. On his day, Akhtar was up there with the most devastating bowlers in history.

Lol, are you kidding me? Based on pure bowling ability, Shoaib was always ahead of Lee. At his peak, Akhtar could lead a quality Test attack on his own. Lee couldn't.

But in ODI, I agree. Lee was a far better bowler than Akhtar.
