You might have to at last. The strain of bowling more than 40 overs a match for three consecutive matches has finally caught up with Garth le Roux. I'm just telling ya beforehand, although I haven't posted the injuries list yet. I guess he could still play with a rating drop as a first/second change option.

Well, on a barren Indian maidan, it's time to bring out the tweakers in force. We have Barnes and Grace in the side as the seam attack, but really they're just going to fill in the Ganguly role. Far more important are the spin triplets - Bates, Briggs and Peel, three tweakers with Test averages of under eighteen. On this occasion, Blackham keeps his place, even though he slots in at number eleven. I doubt he'll be complaining - Peel, one place above him, has a first-class century to his name. MacLaren moves back down to five to accommodate the Doctor. The batsmen never played on dusty tracks, Ranji aside, and the conditions may be a bit alien to them. Looking forward to seeing how this side plays, as it might just pack a punch in these alien conditions.

No frigging way. He's still one of your best rated batsmen. You're basically shooting yourself in the foot by dropping him even if his average is in the sub 20s. If you look beyond the stats, the guy hasn't had too many opportunities to play big innings because of the dominance of your openers and top order players. Even Gilly's averaged below 30 while trying to score some quick runs. Does that make him crap too?
