you dont see too many mistakes because he simply doesnt do anything.
hes a very defensive and a reactive captain. his forte is chasing the ball.

his batting has been horrible for god knows how long and since lady luck is not favoring him too much these days, he is facing some heavy flak and rightly so.

cant even slog properly anymore........

another reason is that he just doesnt trust his bowlers nor does he come up with any plan whatsoever. its always zaheer planning the bowling strategies (as admitted by him).

and ridiculing your team-mate in front of the media is just BAD! both as a captain AND as a person. Yes, i am talking of his dislike for Sreesanth. if you have a problem with him, sort it out in the dressing room. no need to make your hatred so public.

Did you see todays match .That is how Dhoni has always captained India and that is why I was completely surprised by his off colour captaincy in the recent WC. But MSD is back. Zaheer does not plan bowling strategies . It is Dhoni's decision. He might get and accept/not accept inputs from senior players like Sehwag,Sachin and Zaheer. If Zaheer Khan supposedly takes all bowling decision then how can you blame Dhoni for giving Nehra the last over. Isn't it Zaheer Khan's fault because he takes all the bowling decisions. But Dhoni accepted his mistake in PC. Yes, some times he can be adamant but so can be Sachin. Infact Sachin is the most adamant and bull headed cricket player in the entire cricket world and it has made him the best player. If Sachin decides to do something he will do it no matter what. Read his interviews,anecdotes, other peoples experiences about him and it will be clear. That is strength and weakness . Same about Dhoni. He has a bit of a bias for Harbhajan but he is intelligent enough to know the limit of that bias.
And the entire team dislikes shreesanth not just Dhoni .

Yes, Pakistan chased 321, very impressive.

Dhoni should take some risk and ask the groundsman to prepare a Turning Pitch because we have Ashwin and Bhajji.

But according to Ganguly, Daljeet the Groundsman at Mohali is very stubborn and hard to convince. He does not like to shave the grass off the pitch and turn it into a dustbowl which Ganguly usually wanted.

Zaheer went 1-70 in 10 overs. Not going to happen again, not with the 2011 boss Zaheer.

Dhoni should drop Munaf Patel and take Yusuf Pathan in his place for pakistan game.

Go with all 8 batsmen and take only 3 specialist bowlers (Zahir Khan, Harbhajan and Ashwin). There are 5 part time bowlers to do the job of 4th and 5th bowler. i.e. yuvraj, Yusuf, Raina, Tendulkar and Sehwag.

Only Zahir, Bhajji and Ashwin are good rest of the specialist bowlers are not any better than the part timers. At least not in good current form.

This way India will have 8 solid batsmen and 8 decent bowling options. In any case the 4th specialist bowler has been a liability in all WC India games so far. Today it was Munaf, the other days it was Nehra, Chawla or Sreesanth. And Dhoni has been giving new ball to spinners any ways, so we donot need 2nd pacer. Except at Mohali track tends to be faster , so may be take sreesanth or nehra in place of Ashwin

This way they can afford to have one batsman at the crease going after the bowling to get on top of opposition as plenty more can follow.

This strentgens the team overall .

My Indian friends are doing the same. I know like 50 Indians and barely 10 Pakistanis here. So far havent said anything that my Indian peeps can catch me back on, but I will not be able to show my face here if we lose.

On the other hand if we win, I am going to meet each of my Indian friends individually and give them a few comments about the game.

Yea I miss Butt too. And Aamir would have been a fantastic inclusion too

Akthar for Riaz is a big gamble. I think Afridi will take him, we need to be as aggresive as we can against the Indian batting.
