Story My idea of a 2007 Ashes Series Story

Just had a Idea for a story I might start.

I was thinking of just starting a 2007 Ashes series, just the 5 tests. but my Idea is that my team will only consist of young talent from the Australian Domestic Series.

Players like Tait, Clarke, Watson, Hopes, Cullen, White, Jacques, Johnson, North(maybe), Thornly(maybe). And i'll do some research for some other reasonably young players that could possibly cut it.

cool, are you gonna do the same for england? stick with the obvious, maye bring in hildreth of somerset, cook of essex (did fairly well in a tour match against aus! just a double century!), prior of sussex, plunkett of durham, maybe jefferson, swann, shafayat, joyce etc. could be in the squad.

hhhhmmm, not sure on that. My original plan was to match up some young Aussies against the usual English sqaud to see how well I could go, but a younger English sqaud might be good. What do you all think? Also if I choose a young England sqaud I will need help to pick the players as I know nothing about the players in England.

I am pretty crap at Cricket 2005 so i'll be playing on the hardest difficulty without patches unless anyone can suggest a patch that'll make the game no harder but improve gameplay.

So let me know what you all suggest I do, i'll try my hardest to entertain you all.

as england have a fairly young team anyway the baulk of the squad could stay the same (flintoff, pietersen, harmison etc.), just blooding a few into the squad could make this series interesting.

If I setup a 5 match test series I can choose both sqauds right?

er, im not sure...... best just do it from the team management screen just to be safe... unless anyone else can confirm?

I tried and you can not select the CPU team, so I might just leave England as default, so any suggestions on who could be in the young Australian Team?

great going buddy. To change england players as told before use management option and then leave it cpu choice to select the final 11

I just did a test run of a match on Hard and got absolutly wopped, so will play on medium I think.

I will edit the England team to be the same as there Ashes side, unless a player is way to old(in 2007) then i'll swap him for some one younger, but who would be young and inline for a 2007 ashes debut?

I'm working on the Australian Sqaud currently, just trying to get a good balance, its not easy as I don't want anyone over 30, and because the next ashes is in 2008 is it? I may have been wrong about 2007 sorry guys. Anyway all this means I can not have a single person over 26.

Actually just checked and it in the 2006/2007 Australian Season.

And yes that does pput haddin under 30 so I Could use him, also it'll leave a few more others who can play, I was going off the age of 26 but now its 27. So anyone who is 27 or under can play. Now back to researching to get a suitable side.

Although I can go upto the age of 27 I will still keep alot of youth in the team.
