Dream Debut?​

Was this a dream Debut or what? After beating the bat consecutive times, Ze Bruyn played one straight to Gully who took a simple catch! I pointed towards the dressing room, and the selectors! I hope they saw that!

My first wicket. Not bad eh?​

An over later, I took a genuine edge! I was rolling now! 2 Wickets in my first spell! That has to impress any selector! I went over to Younis Khan who took the fine catch at second slip giving everyone in my way a high five!

Yep, that's my fierce bouncer!​

Showing the Second Asset on the Field​

Shoaib came back into the attack. He replaced me as I had bowled 7 overs straight. By this time, Danish had struck twice. The ball was cut hard, but it was coming straight for me, I got in the right position and took a good catch! This has to be a dream start for anyone.

In the Air, and Gone! I add to my happiness with a catch!​

Lunch was upon us as the score for South Africa A was 34/7. A good Session for me, certainly something that I can build upon.

South Africa A were really struggling at this time. They were in a terrible position. I was on for Danish Kaneria to finish things off. After 3 overs of trying to beat the bat, the batsman miss timed it and it went to the fielder! My thrid wicket of the day!

The batsmen started out pretty well. Imran played nice strokes and so did Yousuf. But Hafeez and Younis got out cheaply. Imran and Yousuf also couldn't find the gap and they both were caught. Inzi came in and steadied the ship once more. Him and Malik guided us to safer spot at the end of the day. not long now before I get to go out there! I'll get a good nights sleep before I do though.

The end of Day 1, satisfying day for me.​

Rough Time at the Crease​

Kamran didn't last very long on the crease and it was my time to go on the pitch and show my skills with the bat. A positive thing for me was that Inzi was on the other side. Ironically, the negative thing was that Inzi was on the other side. That meant no easy singles. Anyways, I did my normal stretches before I got to the crease.

My first shot was defensive. A long stride towards the ball and I played it down or "dead". Getting a bit frustrated of not scoring anything after 14 deliveries faced, I tried to play an aggressive shot. I missed it completely. Inzi cam to me with a few words of advice. My first shot that I had gotten runs off was a smashing cover drive. I got 2 runs and was finally off the mark.

Defence. Miss. Hit!​

There it is my half-century! In faced deliveries that is! 52 balls faced. Only 9 runs scored by me. Not bad? Inzi though was rolling along as he was on 63. I hope I can connect more after I eat!
