New BLIC Gameplay Video

I have also noticed,When the ball edges to the keeper and he caughts it,
The commentator replies with,"That was a good catch by the FIELDER(instead of keeper)and It went High in the air" I dont think edges fly in the air.

Expect more such commentary blunders in BLIC quite naturally. It is pretty much the same with any sports game really. After a while the commentary gets boring and dull depite the number of commentators. Commentary adds a new dimension to the game but no way are we going to get hours and hours of commentary with out repetations or the ones pointed out by fardin.

If the game is out in DVD then the number of commentary clips will be fairly large. The games on X-Box and PS2 will be on DVD for sure. Normally the sports games are under 4 GB in capacity on XBoxes and am sure majority of the space will be occupied by audio files for commentary. Despite all the commentary will be pretty predictable.

Just going to hae a first look at it (downloding right now), hope its gonna be gr8. coz the previous one ( the one from gamerTV) had a couple of things to worry about (wrong player names & if someone noticed a third umpire decision in a pre-colourTV era...............hmmmmmmmm that doesn't sound too good. How latest is this video (i.e, eng & NZ one)

Thats true and its quite natural. However the randomness of what is being said should be such that the same sentences should not repeated over and over again.

I hate writing this but i kinda found two real silly things but having watched the video more than 20 times in the last 2 days, i can say that

1. when franklin catches trescothick, watch the replay, the batsman on the other end changes his running position like he cld time freeze change the direction he is facing and unfreeze time ;) ...

2. the "after" catching animations seem to be standard for the keeper and any other player so guys dont expect different celebrations :(

i know im making these lil issues kinda big but hey its information which will be worth the last minute tweaking!

basically it just sucks.. still there r wrong names... game looks so cartoony.. specially in todays world of realistic games...

i like this way better than the ea vid. that looks like the same game...no differnce except new teams and players are bigger? BLIC will be a breath of fresh air. after the let downs of both ea 2002, and 2004...i need some change to be honest.i was up in arms between the two but will def get blic when it comes out. the names...thats no big deal really i just want good gameplay adn taht is it.

So,(imported rockyj123) do you mean wrong names are the biggest issue !
If the name of the Aussie team changes to Austrilai instead of Australia , will the team become a bad one ??
Similarly C2k5 even with correct player names does not look anywhere as lively as BLIC 2005 . The crap commentary sums it up for you !

HEY GUYS! i dont know how many rmr....but when the screens came out showing a south africa bowling card? well some ppl were saying how it was kinda weird they showed all the players (non-bowlers included) but after watching the video....at the end of the over, you go to THAT screen and pick your next bowler? anyone wanna take me up on this hypothesis...what do ya guys think?

BLIC video looks good, though shot selection looks too late, sound effects were nice and bowling actions decent.

C2005 bowlers have better actions, pathetic commentry and looks better, seems like they fixed all the bugs in C2004.

Now tell me, if C2005 releases b4 BLIC, wont you buy it and then buy BLIC anyways after that?

Im just gonna do that

Just saw both the videos. BLIC really looks way better now than what we had seen in the previous video, but in terms of graphics and the whole 3d feel to the game, I still think EA are ahead. I cant talk about the gameplay just by seeing the videos, as that can be understood only after having played the game. The player movements and animation in EA has improved from cricket 2004, but the ones in BLIC is better.

And as far as the names are concerned, I would be happier if Codies spent more on getting the permission of using correct names in all game modes rather than on licensed bats.

The commentary is EAC2005 is 100% same as Cricket 2004, which really sucks. By this I do not mean Maxwell and Benaud are bad commentators, but it really doesnt make sense to be using the exact same commentary files as in the previous games. I hope this is not the case and there are some new inputs.

I think the EA game is out first, so I am gonna buy first. It was good to see them using the latest kits for most teams.

majority of people are saying that BLIC is bad beacuse of the fake names and will be crap, look at games like pro evolution soccer that has fake names but it is 10 times better than EAs Fifa

to me it doesnt matter about the graphics its the gameplay which counts and after seeing both videos imo BLIC will be the game to get but still i cannot judge both games until i actually play it

I was pretty disappointed wid blc's 1st vid but now......... well....... I admit it. this is gonna be the best cricket game.however i wud love to meet the guy who was playing the demo.even my 5 year old bro doesnt play that bad. ;)
