Very true, but you would hope the ones that are have matured by the time they are 27. What exactly is investigating it now going to achieve? Some gimp with nout better to do dug them up, he apologised, why can't we just move on from it?

He apologised, which is enough from a moral viewpoint. But I guess he signed a contract, and if it allows his employer to punish him for the tweets, I don't see the problem. Same if it doesn't. The punishment is up to the ECB.

As far as I am concern he should be reprimanded and disciplined, at age 18 you have a fair grasp of your thoughts and mentality. Those tweets were pretty disgusting and its very sad some are playing it as a trivial matter.

Doesn't matter what day it is if you have a bigoted mentality, and the team you are playing for is making a statement on inclusivity, etc.

But I agree, it happened 8 years down the line. He was called out for his "immaturity" and he has apologised. We have to take it on face value that he regrets doing that. People's mentality and feeling can change over the course of a few months, so it is not outlandish to expect that he has also changed and matured. Instead of dragging this out and calling for his head, people just need to move on

Finally the Kiwis have got a good replacement of Jeet Raval. Raval at best would give you 30s & 40s and those occassional 100s. But this guy Conway is special!!! He seems to have all the ingredients in him to become a great batsman for New Zealand in future. He still has years of Cricket left in him.
