I didn't mean you can change your pick. It was more of a general advice for all. You gotta stick with Mendis.[DOUBLEPOST=1539490785][/DOUBLEPOST]@Ashutosh. Your turn.
No issues.

Tillakaratne Dilshan

TM Dilshan one Sri Lanka's best rated opener and best batting AR in ODIs has performances no less than some else best rated openers in the world. He is also regarded as one of the best players when it comes to innovation. And rightly sos the opener developed the shot 'Dilscoop' which we know today. The right handed batsmen with his aggressive shots and natural timing could take on the opponents any given day.

The batting All-Rounder has a phenomenal World Cup record with the bat, where he averages 52.95. Dilshan didn't started his WC career on a big note but as the next WC came, he performed better than the last one. The 2007 WC wasn't good enough by his standards. Where his highest score was 58. Dilshan owned the 2011 WC being the highest run scorer of that tournament and with his performances like 144 vs Zimbabwe and 108* not out vs England in the Quarter Finals who can forget that 10 wickets win. His 73 in the Semi-Final helped his team reach the 2011 Final. The opener averaged 65.53 in 2015 WC alone. 161 not out of 146 balls against Bangladesh was his best WC innings. He also scored 104 against Scotland and couple of fifties in that WC.

Dilshan's bowling record in World Cups is no less than an All-Rounder. He took 18 wickets at an average of 24. His best WC bowling performance was 4/4 against Zimbabwe in 2011 WC. Beware!

Was banking on you to pick him, very very surprised he'd been left out till this point. Took Sri Lanka to two finals and was top scorer in 2011! Not to mention their best World Cup average behind Sangakkara.

Dilshan is a good pick as you were the last to pick but his WC averages are inflated because of scoring against weaker sides. Of his 4 hundreds, 3 have come against Zimbabwe, Bangladesh and Scotland. If we look at his avg. against the top 6 it falls to around 37. A good player but I personally don't rate him too high.

Of course he's not as great as Sanga. But he was the only good opener left. So had to pick him. Also he can bowl a few handy overs. So that's an edge.

Yeah the opening is a major worry for me now and me being last in these rounds is also going to be a pain. Let's see how it pans out.

@Rebel2k18 can we change positions after the end of the draft?
You can do whatever you want with your XI! Numbers 3, 4 and 5 can be rotated surely. I mean a player who has scored at say one position of those 3 can be slotted in any one of it. The middle order is difficult to get the position absolutely spot on as this is a country restriction draft. So yeah you're all good and so is PEvil with Dravid and so am I with Sanga! :D

I have updated my Bond, Qadir and Sanga writeups. Please read:
