Out or Not Out?

Well the rule says if its been dislodged AND fallen to the ground its out. So if it didn't fall to the ground i feel its not out.
And like people were saying if the umpires didn't really see it then they cant possibly give you out! Dont worry, that 61 NO was deserved

The umpires can give you out no problem. It's their decision.

I suspect that it's out, as long as the bail left the wickets momentarily (and it would be almost impossible for it to achieve that position without doing so).

Imagine, in being bowled, one of the stumps is knocked clean out of the ground, and the bail launched into the air, which then lands on the stump as it lies on the ground, and so does not touch the ground. Is this out? Surely it must be. But I believe that a 'broken' or 'unbroken' state of the wicket is defined by the bails, not the stumps. Moving a stump slightly can be not out as long as the bail remains intact, but surely any removal of the bail, regardless of where it lands, is out.

how do you suppose the bail would balance on the fallen stump, and not touch the ground???

Put a stump on the ground. Get a bail, and I guarentee you'll be able to balance it on, at a 90 degree angle, by making sure 2 of the 'ribs' on the bail are over the stump. Unlikely, but possible, more as test of the rules than as a realistic example. However, it's possible, if extremely unlikely, and so the rules need to be clear on it, just in case it happens - as with the case in the first post.

The game was funny though I was annoyed at their wicket keeper he was cursing me cause of his stupid st george hat and i defintely let him know about it

Not Out, simple fact is that its still on the balance and hasnt been removed.

The umpires should give it out but i think you'd be lucky to get away with it, i'd still argue it, and i wouldnt walk But thats no differnt, i could edge to 5th slip and still argue it was the wind

not out because the bail has to be dislodged and on the floor i think, its like when the stumps get hit and the bails just jump up and land, the umpires dont give that out lol
