Few things that I have noticed so far leading upto this test and now that I have watched the highlights of the first inning.
Firstly, you can not drop your most experienced bowler just because the other one is bowling well in the nets. Someone like Abbas who has such a great record against Australia even on those UAE pitches, you can't drop him going into the first test in Australia.
Secondly, I like Harris Sohail and always thought he would fit well in this Pakistan line-up. However, he is looking completely lost right now with the extra bounce that the bower gets on these Australian surfaces. He struggled with that extra bounce in T20's as well and it was quite evident and now he has showed it in the first inning. It's cleat that Australia has figured it out and are going to pamper him there in the second inning and also in the second test if he is picked.
Lastly,
Naseem Shah seems to be reverse aging.
Jokes aside, that boy has some tremendous strength. After losing his mother, he decides to stay on the tour and play for his country is incredible. As everyone else, I was very excited from what I saw of him in the tour game and I hope he goes on to have a successful career. He has all the qualities needed to make a great fast bowler.
