PCB cancels NOCs for Pakistan players in IPL

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has cancelled the no-objection certificates that it had given all its players for the third season of the IPL. "All NOCs issued to Pakistani players for their participation in IPL 3 stand revoked, " the board said in a press release. "In the future if any player receives an invitation for participation in IPL events, PCB will decide the matter on a case to case basis after consulting the relevant government authorities."

The decision came after Pakistani players were ignored at the player auction for the third edition held in Mumbai. Of the 11 players in the IPL's final auction list of 66, none were bought by any franchise.

Tamasha was made by BCCI and IPL, right thing to do under this situation, money aren't more then your respect and all players gets as much money that they could live happily if they want even without IPL.

Touch?. But contradicting opinions coming out almost daily from the players and the board doesn't help. Afridi contradicting himself twice in the same day. He told one thing to one newspaper and another thing to another. These constant flipflops are really taking no one anywhere.

I hope this is the final decision so that we can finally move on.

They'd have better standing in this issue had they not cried about the exclusion.

That's foolish to bash on PCB or players, it is confusing whoever thought that would happen.
Excellent move because after all that rubbish disrespect they were trying to have Pakistani players like that Pakistani players are beggars.
1st and may be last good move by PCB.

send2yaari added 2 Minutes and 36 Seconds later...

That is one rubbish thing whenever anybody try to protest about right thing, we start saying they were crying. Whatever newspapers have written aren't right always.

Lets get this issue over with. Neither side wants the Pakistani players now, so please dont create any confusion from both sides.

Lets move on people

yeah time to move on. I think all this happened so Pakistan could first concentrate on not losing every 50 over ODI and test they play.

How are the two related at all? Besides, Pakistan put up a decent performance in the Tests in Australia. Not a bad showing at all for a side that has so many youngsters and hasn't enjoyed a staple of Test cricket due to political issues.

Its getting old now. Watch IPL3 have horribly low rating and injure some star players (as IPL always does, Hayden, Ryder)

Maybe its good for the Pakistanis to sit it out with the world 2020, England, Aus and Saffer tours coming up

You don't have to tell me about what the news sources are saying, I've been listening to cricketers crying about it on Pakistani channels for a few days now. This whole thing just seems like us throwing toys out the pram. I have no problems with our players not going over there but the way the situation has been handled by our board is embarrassing.
