School Cricketer
For a long time, experts have pondered over whether the cricketers of PlanetCricket were actually good enough to take it to a first-class level, or whether they were just slobs sitting in their chairs pretending to know everything about cricket and self-proclaiming themselves or Yuvraj Singh the greatest cricketer alive.
Recently, a new outcrop of comments insulting PlanetCricket over seemingly trivial topics relating to their ability to play cricket appeared over the internet. This greatly angered the PlanetCricket staff members and players alike, until they finally agreed there was only one way to prove themselves...
To make a cricket team.
But, this wasn't going to be any ordinary cricket team. This would feature legends from the PlanetCricket website itself, from mixed nationalites such as Australia, England, India, Pakistan and other various nations. It would be led by a surprisingly poor choice of coach in Blake, as he tried to aim his team towards domination.
After much discussion with the English cricket board, they agreed to axe one of their under-performing teams in Glamorgan to make room for PlanetCricket. It was an extremely rare sight to see a team cut from the competition in a seemingly random gesture - however, this was a rare occasion. PlanetCricket were here.
The PlanetCricket CC have been entered into all of the domestic competitions in England, replacing Glamorgan. They will fight bravely in their goal to become England's top team, and prove their doubters wrong.
First, however, they had to gather players. They did so by posting a signup form on one of their forums and requesting members to join their team by responding with a post. The form looked something like this:
Player Name:
Age:
Playing Role (batsman, bowler, etc.):
Bowling Style (right arm fast, etc.):
Batting Aggression (0-100):
Random Number (0-100):
[/seriouspost]
Anyway.. we can start with 11 players but 14 players would be ideal - however, people will be able to signon as the youth players become available through academies.
Here is my sign on form.. I wanted to coach and play as well. I don't know anything about the random numbers yet in case you are wondering, I plan on generating them when everyone is finished signing up..
Player Name: Blake
Age: 21
Playing Role (batsman, bowler, etc.): Batsman
Bowling Style (right arm fast, etc.): Right Arm Off Spin
Batting Aggression (0-100): 45
Random Number (0-100): 5
