Yeah sure, if you want to sign up as a player I can work you into a player pack. There wouldn't be any guarantee that you'd get selected though

This league can work just fine so long as there isn't a prime number of teams - so seven and eleven are out!

The remaining fifteen players will be filled via draft.

Most leagues draft their players one at a time, but this will be a little different in that we will be picking packs of five players, four of whom will be unknown until after you've picked. As the seasons progress, the plan is for a trading system to keep squads fresh, but that will be explained later on

Hello all and welcome to the PlanetCricket World Series Draft. As mentioned previously, it'll be a little different to some of the drafts you might have taken part in before. For starters, you won't be picking an individual player but a player pack, each of which comprises five players. This will add a little bit of mystery to the draft.

Also, your team has a budget. You've already spent some of this on your three career players, and this is where you encounter the results of those choices because as you will have seen on the index page, all of the player packs cost a certain amount of points. For most of you this should be fine, although VC's choices will be very restricted!

This isn't an ordered draft; just a first-come-first serve for each round. If you have the last pick of a round, you can make the first pick in the next round. Also, if more than 24 hours have passed since the last pick, you can commence the next round. It is recommended that you pick one Batsmen's pack, one All-Rounder and Wicket-Keeper pack and one Bowlers' pack. That's not a requirement - it just gives the most balanced team.
