Player Editor - Released today (2nd Sept)

I am in the process of making a player editor for BLIC, after Ste pointed me towards the "TeamAndPlayerInfo.bag" file this evening.

It seems that the data is stored pretty "normally" - i.e. just byte values for player's stats, but there are absolutely loads of stats.

It might even be that there are player abilities for test/odi seperately. This is certainly the case with the overall batting, bowling and fielding stats.

As I am very new to the game, I was wondering if there is any way of viewing a player's stats. I know you can see some of their stats during a match, but it seems that the stats like fielding ability and that cannot be viewed anywhere. If anybody could let me know about this, please do tell me. It would save me a lot of time.

At the moment I have figured out the bytes for the following:

Player ID
Name 1
Name 2 - the made up name
Date of birth
Test Bowl Avge
Test Bowl SR
ODI Bowl Avge
ODI Bowl SR
Test Bat ability
ODI Bat ability
Test Bowl ability
ODI Bowl ability
Test Field ability
ODI Field ability
Bowling pace - there is a number for this (Akhtar 90, Lee 85, Harmison 85, Flintoff 75(!))
Player Role - WK, All rounder, Bowler, Batsman
Bowler Type and hand - R. Fast, L. Fast, R. Fast Medium, etc.
Bat Hand

But that's only about 1 10th of all the stats, no ****.

If anyone fancies helping me with this then let me know.

It seems that I will have to figure out some of the other stats by knowledge of the players, purely, but I don't know **** about countries other than England at the moment. Which is a problem.

Anyways, I'll keep you posted on my progress.

Tom.

I'll get into this with you as soon as I can.
We've definitely noticed that Freddie bowls too slow and hopefully this will also allow us to make the tailenders bat better etc.

In response to your earlier question use the more (4) button ingame to get batting and bowling ratings + averages.

Colin,

Cheers for that.

I must say, that C Barmy looks a bit crap!

I'll send you my editor then we can get going on working out the stats.

EDIT:

Forgot to mention I'm off to Bristol job-hunting this week so I won't be able to send anyone anything just yet. I'll have a work on it myself this week and then come back to you all.
