Your Cricket Pre knocked in bats

150 rupees = 10/11 Dhs.
So, if you take about 4 Dhs = 1 pound (Not sure on this), you could basically buy 2 for a fiver :p

lol, well wanted one that i knew the weight of and could hav a swing about of, so got it from a cricket shop :D

As puddleduck said, In england the weather is a bit extreme, when the season is finishing particularly, most cricketers will find thier bat is damp towards the end of the season, i mean you can feel it cold when you pick it up, i dont mean its like a lake or somthing.

i think i am going to knock it in for about 10 mins a day for a week

Great idea, if you dont have anyone at home to throw it up to you, just go outside, as im guessing most people will have "no balls in the house" rule and just knock it up yourself, this is also good for hand-eye co-ordination aswell ;)

When i got my Genisis last year, i found it took well to knocking in and the process was quite quick. The middle is sweet due to making sure i oil it well, but oiling too little or too much is very damaging for the bat.

Breaking bats isnt one of my habits, but i have to say my old bat was a GN and i had a quick bowling at the stumps, the bat came away from the handle, luckily bat or ball didnt touch my wickets :) At least i had my Genisis in my bag so i just used that, didnt last long at the crease, my Kookaburra had two touches, one straight to a fielder in the covers, and the other was an edge into second slip, not happy.

Cracking bats i find Kookaburra make, ive just purchased the Ice for this season :)

lol, i got a GN Monster in the summer, then it broke the first time i used it :( didnt knock it in enough, was in my garden hitting it with a special mallet, annoyin the next door neighbours lol :D good job though, got it repaired and sold it for ?100 lol then got my woodworm torch for christmas, dnt think my next door neighbours will b in the garden sun baving in december/january lol

Always makes a great first impression when your outside banging away happily while thier trying to sort out thier new house :) It helps the moving run alot better, or stressful, not quite sure which one :D

lol, i just got back from cricket nd we done nets, no one got me out, no ones got me out in 4 weeks :D

well got back at 9:30 lol

lol, someone sould make a thread asking how much people payed for their bat and what make and version it is............gives me a idear lol :D

just used my new bat after cricket training, and when the seam has hit the bat, there are little marks on it like indentations, are they suppost to come up or does it mean it isnt knocked in proply, its pre knocked in already and i have done about 15mins with a mallet round the toe and edges

ok, so if i do 10mins a day ready to use on friday, so 1 hr, it shouldnt make the seam marks
