Is this true? Buchanan tried to do this at KKR in the 2nd season, but failed miserably (mostly due to the Kolkata crowd, who was hell bent on seeing Ganguly as captain)

I mean, the Buchanan idea wasn't bad- it was just way ahead of its time. Employed today, it might make for interesting viewing- as it doesn't confine you to have the captain of the previous playing XI in the side for the next game. Pros and cons can be debated- but I'd like to see them try this. BLR has got some mature heads there- Hesson, Faf, Kohli, DK and Maxwell in the leadership group means that they have every chance of pulling this off.

With KKR, Ganguly himself wasn't in favour of the approach and that created difficulties for them. Here, Kohli has given up captaincy,but I feel he may not be averse to coming back in such a situation.

Not surprised to see Du Plessis given the Captaincy after the way the RCB management went after him. Btw would be interesting to see how Kohli & Du Plessis get together in this team considering the old rivalry between these both.

I don't know what just happened to the RCB photographers now, seen the player pics in the new jersey and I've nothing to say on it. The image below will say everything.

Except a few everyone is looking horrible either trying to hold their loose pants or the jersey is too big for them. Atleast give them a jersey of their size.

I really like this set up of Faf du Plessis, Kohli & DK together being the part of the leadership group.

Both du Plessis and Kohli have different approach towards the game so whenever one falls short the other comes up and helps out. And to have a calm head like DK makes things even better!

I won't want to jinx their campaign with expectations so I would just take whatever comes from this side.
