Afridi would be captain material. He's aggressive, and brings venom into the game. He showed his skills in the 2006 Twenty20 tournament, as he took a young Karachi all the way to the finals.
Guys stop acting stupid with you're opinions, no offence, Afridi isn't a good enough player to be the leader of the team, he's going to lead the team to a disaster rather.
Afridi is getting something he don't deserve, well a good bowler though.
Great!Does the Captain have to be a good batsman? Take Afridi as a bowler. He's a pretty good bowler, and he is improving in every game. He's bowling slower, getting spin, gaining variety, and probably is ahead of Kaneria already.
I'm talking about his attitude. Malik looks very contained, very immature, and at times he looks clueless.
I can tell you by watching the Twenty20's a couple years back, Afridi has what it takes to become a successful captain. He's aggressive, knows what he has to do, and overall he knows his place in the team. He wants to be a bowler, and we have got to accept that. We've been trying to force him in as a batsman, when we've been overlooking his strong point which is bowling.
Anyways, Malik isn't playing tomorrow because he's injured. (This is suppose to be our fittest player):.. So we'll be able to see Misbah captaining the side.

Malik is a lost captain really.
Give it to Boom Boom! That'll be something to watch!
Well...just as Zohaib said, Pakistan need a more aggressive captain and Afridi can do that. I would either go for Afridi or Younis Khan. Definitely not Misbah or anybody else in the team since nobody is as experienced as these 2.
To the last line of the last post...to be honest...I really think that Afridi is the fittest Pakistani player in the team![]()
ibut the guy who i want most to captain pakistan is YOUNIS KHAn
Afridi is good-but he cant keep his place in the team.Asif was your vice-captain once, but now,he might not even play cricket in the future.
Misbah-he looks like a decent candidate.
Please not Yunus Khan.He cracks stupid jokes at the press conferences and expects us to laugh. If you guys want an experienced hand,go for Mohd.Yousuf.
I'd rather not be a fan of Pakistan anymore, if you give Afridi the job, he hardly makes a test player never mind. You guys should stop taking drugs.
younus khan is the best choice... mohammad yousuf or misbah can be good captains also... but too bad yousuf and younus have refused to be captains...![]()
Get some other captain for the Test team. India have a different captain for both forms...
what next? Gul for captain?
