I recently wrote to EA to find out about screenshots for cricket 2006 (i know it's only 2004 but i need them for my graphics gcse coursework) Anyway they replied

We currently have no plans for a Cricket 2006 title unfortunately. I can only suggest you refer to the improvements/differences between 2002 and 2004.

I don't think anyone ever seriously believed there was going to be a Cricket2005...
There might be a Cricket2006 eventually but from what I understand, if there was, it would be no-where near screenshot stage.

There will be another Cricket game from EA Sports, Andrew Wilson from EA confirmed that a game is in the planning stage but couldnt give any information/release dates for it. It will most likely be Cricket 2006 though!

well I think that it is important that there is some competition for cricket games.

If someone has a monopoly then they can get away with a crap game which still sells.

I will certainly not get cricket 200x again unless it gets good reviews.
