Nehra should continue in the side. He has done nothing wrong. Zaheer and Nehra would be a nice combination to be back. Nehra can attack really well while Zaheer bottles one end up. I would bring back Sreesanth or try one of Sudeep Tyagi or Dhawal Kulkarni to see how they go. Praveen could be retained but some new fast bowler should be tried and should be given the chances.

For me, it doesnt hurt much because even before we were eliminated, the tournament favorites South Africa and another heavyweight Sri Lanka (who were expected to go far after that first game) were eliminated. That makes me feel better! I expect our team to do well against Australia at home and try to get the rankings back in order (if Australia go to the final, they will take over the No.1 ranking I guess with SA and India behind them).

Yeah I over exaggerated Nehra, but still he was impressive when all others failed. Nehra definitely should be included in all future series, Zaheer should replace Ishant, that's a given.

Well can't say really about Nehra.

We saw him in IPL.

  • Nehra
  • Zaheer
  • Ishant
  • Bhajji
  • Mishra
How's this?

Ishant REALLY needs a break. He's got no swing, slow pace, line and length is okay half the time but with lack of any varieties. Except Zaheer, I'm full confident Sreesanth and even Irfan won't do worse than him.

Yes, Sree and Irfan wont do worser than Ishant at the moment. But Ishant is not a hopeless entity. He can go back to domestic cricket, work on his flaws and come back a better bowler. He should be persisted with in the tests but dropped from the shorter formats.

P.s: Just checked that SA are below India in the rankings (we are No. 2). Australia are No. 1 now and Pakistan are 11 pts behind us whereas NZ and Eng are even below. I dont think we will lose our No. 2 status if any of the semifinalist teams win the trophy. That silverware has eluded us, but rankings wise we wont be hurt much at all.

Praveen or Sree over Ishant. For sure.

Zaheer - Nehra - Praveen will do us well for the moment. I'd like to see Sree back in for Nehra soon, but Ashish hasn't done anything wrong to deserve a drop. Let's see how he fares on the nonresponsive Indian decks.

You guys think Nehra will be back in the whites too? I read somewhere that he wants to be a LOI match specialist only. Ishant isn't a problem for tests IMO.

I hope Ishant finds his form back. It's not tough and we should not leave like how Pathan rusted. :( No & no, we need Ishant to be in form soon. Zaheer-Ishant-Praveen should be the great combo. Wasn't this the winning combination in CB series? I am not a fan of Irfan or RP or Nehra or Munaf or Balaji though. They are useless in my list.

RP Singh has looked a shadow of the bowler he was when the Indians won that Test series against us, and the inaugural 2020 WC.

Shame, he looked lethal in England that summer, especially when he came round the wicket to rightys

It would be harsh to blame team India for anything. Practically India only lost to Pakistan and they are out of the tournament just because the format. India won against West Indies and had wash out against Australia. On other day Pakistan was far better team and they won. I don't see any reason for being Panic or just because I rarely watch news channel, I do feel that People are over reacting.

Some serious issue there, I think Ishant and RP need some break. I can't believe Praveen did not play against Pakistan. I would have felt same even India had win. Praveen should play all ODIs as He is the best ODI bowler we have after Zaheer.

To relax from work pressure you should make fun of our team :happy

Sreesanth will never get in to the team when Harbhajan is there, unless he took 10 wickets in an innings for 2 or 3 matches.I fear Sehwag is also going the same way.Too much politics,FAQ BCCI.

I throw all my work frustration on bowlers alone sometimes. :D Not on team India. Batsmen are doing good only;)

All that will be thrown away soon. Sree will come back because he can bowl good pace. He has been doing well in the county circuit recently. He moves the ball really well. And I predict that he might also turn around a corner with his personality just like how Afridi has done

We are rusty. Face the fact.
All batsmen with the notable exception of Dravid need some more practice. I saw this coming in Sri Lanka itself.
Bowling-Ishant,well everyone has a bad patch. Sure he'll bounce back. As of now I see Dadaji or Sree making a comeback to the side.
