Not sure in Mumbai, but it has been a while since they started offering 16Mbps plans here in New Delhi.

8 mbps and 16 mbps plans have come from this month in Airtel but its very area centric.Like the plan is active in Madras but it may not be active in all areas here.

Internet hasn't been working good for me for a while now. Sadly, Airtel doesn't provide services in our area.
