So, to make lockdown more fun (for me) I have decided to do a few Cricket 19 wacky team based experiments. Am happy to take requests and suggestions but I am going to start with a match-up that will get @Dutch and I salivating.

Who will win a test series between a team of Alastair Cooks and a team of Cheteshwar Pujaras?

Test 1 played on a crumbly surface at Eden Gardens
Test 2 played on a green top at Chester-le-Street
Test 3 played on a standard pitch in Glasgow

Place bets now...

Have used the same Cook and Pujara to create the teams so they are identical. The tour is done and the teams are made... Let's see how it looks shall we?

And here is the home screen. I have no idea whether I am gonna simulate or watch it live... Maybe I'll watch it live like a maniac.

So Team Pujara decided to bowl first. I guess they felt there was no real bowling to stop them chasing and batting last on this pitch. A ballsy move. Was it the right one? Well, let's take a look at that lunchtime scoreca...

Errr..... a wonderful sessions for the Chefs as they get to 160-0 at lunch. A pretty terrible session for Team Pujara.

A lot of bowling for team Pujara having already used 9 of the team. Fifth Pujara has been the pick of the bowlers with two maidens and that's as good as it has got. Great first session for Team Cook.

So then, the second session needed Team Pujara to come out firing while Team Cook were looking to continue to build...

They got a wicket! But that's as good as it got as Cook got to 100 and then got out, it didn't really affect the team though as Cook came out at 3 and smashed 87 off of just 91 balls showing just how benign this pitch must be so far. Another chastening session for Team Pujara. That decision to bowl is looking Nasser at Brisbane levels of terrible...

Ten bowlers used and it was Pujara 9 who took the wicket. Only Pujara 2 and 5 are going at under 5s and at 342-1 this is looking like a chastening first day in front of a home crowd.
