So what do you guys think about this fellow:

19 yo, BT Rating=8,305

LH Batsman, LFM Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, sublime
An attacking player with proficient leadership skills and abysmal experience.

Stamina: woeful Wicket Keeping: respectable
Batting: worthless Concentration: worthless
Bowling: mediocre Consistency: respectable
Fielding: worthless

Wages: ?1,216 p/w

I've had him on one bowling net for quite some weeks hoping he would get to competent. Just this week, I increased his bowling nets to two. Is it worth it?

i guess you would be beter off getting a new 17 yr old YP and giving him the 2 bowling nets, but if you dont have any then its not a bad idea to train him

Nah. He's got Respectable keeping, that adds to the wage.
I say, keep him for a bit, he seems a decent bowler for you at the moment, but get a trainee or a better 20 YO.

Match between me and Briggs goes underway in 4 hours. The pitch seems set to be H&F, unless it changes in the next 4 hours. So I've set my lineup and orders, done my scouting, and now it's time for mind games.
My latest ratings compared to Briggs':

I know they don't mean a thing, but still...
My batting is going to change from the match where I got those ratings from, so I'd say it is even or Briggs has the edge. But I think my bowling is better, although it could be down to poor PFL and Morale. But if that is the case, then my high PFL and Morale should give me a boost.
In all it should be a good game I won't be here to watch it, so I guess Briggs will have to update you all.

Darren Alladyce is closer to being in the U19s than I thought! I just got a PM from Brianstar, the England U19 manager, and he says Allardyce could make it to the team next season! Thing is, he wants me to get rid of the wk net I have on him and put a fielding net instead - which I've done. Next, he wants me to put 3 batting nets on him instead of two, which I disagree with. Anyway, even if he did get a call to the squad, should I let him ?? Given that Allardyce is now central to my team, I'm in two minds.

i say you do what he wants, its not that often you get the chance to have a player to play in the U-19 world cup (especially 19 when the WC takes place)

and giving him more nets will mean he will be better for you the season after

Yes, but 5 nets on one guy ?! It's a bit extensive given that I do have other very good youths to train. Also, it'll be a big setback for next season when he's not there. It's not that my team wasn't good without him - it was and it will be even if he goes, but he's a guy who nearly guarantees a 100 almost every game and it's vital for my team. I don't know. Is Club > Country or Country > Club ?

well what are you're aims for next season? if you want to get promoted, and he is vital to that, do with him what you want, if you are aiming for 3rd/4th, let him go, and if you're struggling in a play off spot, use him, (or at least in a play off, if you are willing to risk it)

how many managers can say they promoted and trained an U-19/Nat player

Did I win? Haven't seen it yet.
But revenge! Just as I said!
All I need is to beat BC, and I have gained revenge on all who have beaten me. And maybe the Pakistani Pingers too, I could beat them.
